    Tonight's shave.

Prep: hot shower, L'Oreál Face Wash, Sasquatch bath soap-Golden Moss scent.
    Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
    Razor: 40's Gillette Rocket.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
Cream: Proraso Red (first time use.)
Post: cold water rinse, Walgreen's witch hazel, Barbon AS.

Great news, my poison ivy that was on my face and neck is all healed up. I can have a normal shave now. I really missed shaving. It's weird, I never thought I would miss shaving. The 40's Rocket worked pretty well, I only needed one and a half passes to get a DFS. I got my dad a tube of Proraso Red for Christmas and he liked it a lot. He gave me permission to try it as well. I don't know why I waited so long to buy this. This cream was great. It smells good, lathers good, it was slick, had ideal cushion, and has great skincare. I also used my beloved Barbon AS. We were apart for too long. It's in my top 5 favorite aftershaves. Its skincare is perfect, the menthol effect is pretty potent, it's cheap, and smells great to me.

    Another great shave!
Prep: warm face wash with Shea Moisture scrub
    Soap: TSD Signature Lanolin
    Brush: HIS Synthetic
    Razor: Maggard MR10
    Blade: Gillette 7 OC yellow
    Post: TSD Signature Milk

DFS. The HIS easily whipped up loads of slick lather, and the MR10 sang its way across my face, leaving smooth protected skin. The Aftershave milk is a great compliment to this soap, and I love the Shea oil feeling.

This was shave seven with the Bluebird Hi-stainless Platinum blade. After the Dove face wash, I face-lathered with the Van Der Hagen luxury shave soap and the Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes and touch-ups on the neck left me with a near BBS shave. I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, refreshed and happy.

A nice shave with a good soap. I like Wilkerson especially after it's aired out for a while. I'll finish out my week of Sheffields with some heavier grinds, maybe a Rodgers and a couple more W&B's. Have a good one.

    Thursday-Birth Year Razor Today!

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Sharp Dressed Man Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Spice
Razor: ’50 Birth Year Gillette Ball End Tech
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Black Badger
    Aftershave: Shulton Old Spice

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I loaded up my Birth Year Tech today. This was only my 4th shave with it. I put in a new Gillette Silver Blue and lathered up with Stirling Spice. I had a great shave! 1950 was a good year! I finished with some real Shulton Old Spice.

That's right, no menthol this time because it's so cold today here in Montreal. I still enjoyed my shave very much - the Klar Kabinett soap lathers great, and it's the only rosy-scented soap that I can say that I really like. I just wish that it had a tad more moisturizing. The Booster Mosswood aftershave is a Canadian barbershop classic, and it's got such a nice old-school scent! ;) :D

The WS is my favorite shave stick. It creates a great lather for me every time I use it. It does not dry my skin like some of the other sticks have a tendency to do.

    Homemade PSO
    Parker 80R 2 passes
    Astra Superior Stainless (3)
    VDH boar
GFT Coconut Oil cream (sample) in the scuttle
    Pinaud Clubman Musk AS

Very very nice two pass shave. Still have below zero wind chill so no need to remove any skin. Still working through my GFT samples and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to find one that doesn't perform well. I've avoided the coconut oil sample for the same reason I avoid unmarked boxes of assorted chocolates but finally decided it didn't matter since I was shaving with it and not eating it.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: . Weishi 9306
    Blade: Astra SP (day 5)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Col. Conk Lime
    Passes: 2 (WTG x2, XTG)
    Post: cold water, Proraso blue

The Col. Conk just didn't work for me today. The lather looked good in the bowl and on the brush but would not transfer to my face; the lather was too thin.
I tossed the first bowl of lather after the first pass. The second batch of lather was an improvement, but still not great. Third pass I picked up some fresh soap off the puck and face lathered. Should have done that to start...

Not a clean shave either, I can feel patches of stubble all over my face. :(

Prep: Hot shower, Shea Moisture Face Scrub, Citrus PSO
    Razor: M. E. Reppenhagen Diamondine#7
    Strop: 3" Whipped Dog
    Brush: Omega 626 Silvertip
    Lather: Michell's Woof Fat
Shave: Two passes, plus DE touch-up
Post: Rinse, Alum block, Black River Bay rum & Nivea balm

Essentially a complete repeat of Tuesday's shave with the Repp. I spent some more time with stropping to hopefully minimize some of the tugging present when I first used this razor earlier this week. Much smoother shave today (great MWF lather helps!) with minor DE touch-up after two passes with the straight.
    Have a great Thursday, everyone!
