I was planning on using the ShaveCraft 101, but opted for the Cobra in the end. I had a great shave! I'm getting the correct angle down, so today's shave was by far the most comfortable!

    Thursday

Coffee: Zolo's Farmhouse French roast, brewed in Areopress
    Prep: Clear Essentials glycerin soap
    Lather: TSD unscented wheat cream
Brush: Oscar11 custom with HIS knot
    Razor: Gillette fat handled Tech
    Blade: Astra SP
    After: cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

Another excellent shave! Tried four passes: wtg, xtg, xtg the other way, then atg. Results were good, and the atg pass was comfortable since the hairs had already been reduced so much. Maybe I'll try this approach again.

    Coffee was excellent!

    Every Man Jack Pre-Shave Scrub
    Gillette Fusion Proglide Power
Gillette Fusion Proglide Power Multi-5 (day 5)
Gillette Fusion ProSeries Intense Cooling Lotion

A nice easy shave before shower and back to the humid Florida weather. I can't wait to get home to Tucson. The Gillette Cooling lotion is aces. Helps me outside chill my face for relief. Aces!

    Thursday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Preshave Lotion
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: VDH Unscented
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo Nickel
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
    Passes: WTG (1)
Post: Cold water splash, Nivea Energy ASB
Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes

With the FaTip loaded up with a fresh new Bic blade, I was all set to go for a 3-pass BBS result today. . . when I saw what I assume are razor bumps on my jawline. For that reason, I decided to stick to a simple, 1-pass, SAS today, wasting a bunch of lather in the process. The razor bumps were also what prompted me to reach for the Nivea ASB, as I find it to be as healing as anything in my arsenal. We shall see what tomorrow brings.

    • Prep: shower
    • Razor: Mühle R89 JET
    • Blade: Polsilver SI (6)
    • Brush: New Forest Tubby 2
    • Soap: Arko (R.I.P.)
    • Post: Thayers Medicated Superhazel
    • After shave: Proraso lozione dopobarba, Bulldog balm
Today I finally finished an Arko stick that I had for what seems like forever. The scent mellowed out over the years and, but the performance was always top notch. Sixth shave with the Mühle R89 JET and the final one on this blade. During the second pass it became obvious that the blade is due to be replaced and I got 3 small weepers today. Otherwise, it was enjoyable as always. Next few shaves will be with the Weber DLC and a fresh Polsilver SI and I will give my thoughts as to how these razors compare.
I must mention that there was an issue with the Mühle. After the fourth shave I disassembled the razor to wipe it dry with a towel and I noticed two spots where the plating had already been worn through. I don't know what happened, this shouldn't have happened. I contacted Mühle straight away and they offered to send me a replacement top plate for free.

You bet! I'm glad I don't have to give myself a spitbath like my cat anymore. :D That shower is wonderful! :bath:
It's amazing how reliant we are on water. It becomes very obvious how much we use it when we don't have any. :shocked003: :D
