This is rather subtle and unremarkable but has a nice smell to it and decent linger time.
Sunday Morning: Hot Shower/Hot Towel/Proraso Glycerin Cleansing Bar 1966 Gillette TECH (Ball End) Iridium Super (Shave #3) Vulfix #18 Boar Van Der Hagen Deluxe SS Pinaud Clubman A/S Vaseline IRML Lotion Another fantastic shave while keeping it basic. The Iridium was JUST able to squeak out a third shave, although it was a tad rough. Got some of my best lather ever from the Van Der Hagen. Definitely one of the best readily available shaving products at a fraction of the cost of the other junk that stores sell. Very happy with today's shave.
Nice kit Kid! Glad to hear the shaves are improving. Have you tried an after shave balm before the Clubman? It's very soothing and the Clubman won't sting as bad on a tender skin. Love the mug!
Kid, You're absolutely correct. VDH Deluxe out performs every soap in its price range and most soaps that are much more expensive. IMHO, not only one of the best values out there but one of the best soaps, period. Add to that the fact that you can cruise right down to the corner store and buy it for a fraction of what you'd pay for shipping costs alone and you've got one hell of a tough soap to beat.

1972 SS Black Handle Wilkinson Sword Blade Semogue 1250 Brush Glycerin for Pre Shave L'occitane Cade Soap Home made ASB Old Spice Pure Sport I haven't used the Cade lately but after using it today I am not sure why. What a fantastic soap. Great lather, great scent, great shave. The Old Spice Pure Sport has really grown on me as well. It smells like a much more expensive cologne but I can't place it...a spicy fruit scent that reminds me of warmer weather.

Thanks for the suggestion, Stroker. I have tried a multitude of things over the last few years. The aftershaves aren't the problem for me as I get no sting. It's typically my technique that needs to be refined after a while. That is what I have been concentrating on.
I completely agree, 1OldGi. The Deluxe and the Signature versions are the two that I find to be most common in my parts. I got interested in trying the Glycerin version so I made an online order at drugstore.com for 3 pucks of the Deluxe and 3 pucks of the Glycerin. My Deluxe puck is almost gone and I am sooo looking forward to trying out the Glycerin!
