I haven't used Klar Kabinett in a while and boy was it a fantastic shave. I love this soap. F&C Capri is fantastic stuff, if you're looking for a good aftershave this would be one to give a look at.

    today's shave
hot water wash with nivea men's face wash and a washcloth
    Le Figaro boar
    Route 66 A Perfect Gent
Dovo 98 Pearlex 5/8 full hollow round end
    Crusella& co vetiver
    Route 66asb A Perfect Gent
today's shave was nice. the gent smells very nice, and performed wonderful. three passeswith the Pearlex. I doubled down on concentration and form.I was rewarded with a very nice shave. I may have to face the fact that I can't get as fast with a straight as a de, and my disability didn't help. but I'm comfy and well shaved. I finished with a splash of vetiver and a rub down of the gent.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

    Schick I2 razor
    Personna blade
    Plisson/L'Occitane brush
    Vintage Williams SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

Just back in town from an anniversary trip with the wife. Had a great time but good to be home. Nice shave and I love vintage Williams. The company did the world a disservice when the changed the formula. I use the modern stuff and like it but the vintage is so much better. Now go enjoy your day folks

David, you're in good company! I would venture to state that MOST straight razor shaves take longer than the average DE shave. The SR process generally takes significantly greater concentration and, while one can move about more rapidly with a DE razor, a straight razor requires deliberate movement and placement. I'll use a DE razor if I'm truly pressed for time and still require a shave.
SR shaves do take longer, but I thoroughly enjoy the process. :happy088:

    Merkur 34C / Shark Super Chrome (2)
    Satin Tip The Purest
    Blades Grim Smolder

This is my second shave with the Shark Super Chrome and I must say that it was noticeably smoother then the first. The first shave gave me a couple of weepers and felt way too tuggy, I guess the Shark may be a good candidate for corking. Even though the blade was much smoother and provided a serviceable shave I find that I don't like them nearly as much as the Astra SP's
