The menthol effect from this Polar Vortex shave soap feels like a freezing cold winter wind in the Yukon and the lather is so easy to whip up. The Bergamot Vetiver aftershave from Henri et Victoria almost competes with the Rubby Dubby Doo. (well, not quite!) What a great shave this was!

 

Happy Ground Hog Day! It's been quite a mild winter here in WNY. Today's shave was an old school Barbasol single pass CCS............

 

Thanks, Chris. I like the shave schedule days and hope to continue with Menthol Monday and with Shave Den Sunday.

Last nights shave was an interesting one, as I used a new razor for the first time. The razor was a gillette 7 o'clock diamond. This razor is the one piece plastic razor with a snap shut loading mechanism. It is available in several colors and under different names depending on the blade it comes with and where it was manufactured.

The other gear involved in the shave included
-kiss my face lavender and shea cream
-omega pro 10049.
-gillette diamond blade
-benjamin's mentholated bay rum
-arko ice mint after shave cream.

The razor is very very light (lighter than any other razor I've ever used including disposables). I did get a DFS. I'll have to use it a few more times to form a real opinion.

Lovely shave. The Bronson soap is a local product, fantastic stuff. NeverMoreBodyCo. Guinness aftershave is very nice. These both pair really well. I'm going to have to rotate my 830 and 610 brushes in, I noticed the 830 wasn't completely dried out this morning. I switched back to this 1959 SS it definitely shaves different from the TV Special I was using the past couple of days. I really like this SS.

today's shave was great and a little disheartening. running behind I forewent with a straight razor shave. I instead chose the slim for speed sake. I had a great shave. much more consistent than the last week off straight shaves.
humbling and sort of frustrating.
