    Sunday:

    Ever-Ready Streamline
    Gem Stainless SE blade
    Van de Hagen Deluxe Soap
    Omega Boar brush

My first shave with the Streamline. I approached it with caution, which is always sensible with a new razor. In this case, I'd read from some other people that this model is very aggressive, and can bite. Well, it did take the whiskers right off, so maybe it is aggressive, but not in a dangerous way. No nicks, no irritation, and very easy to use.

CD: Hosanna! Music ~ High Energy Praise
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Ethiopia Illubabor, BLACK
    Soap: Irisch Moos

Blade: Gem, day 3, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Cool Mist + 2 drops M Bomb, Pinaud Clubman, hand strop blade

    Shave Rating: 4 Blades

This would have been a 5 Blade rating if I enjoyed using sticks. Think I'm gonna have to grate this down into a bowl. I've been trying to like the stick. Just ain't hap'nin'.

    Sharp brand DE (1)
    Semogue OC Boar
Apple Blossom Shave Cream (I think)
    Alum
    Superior 70 Bay Rum

Tried a new cream from Dimitry. I can't read Russian, but if IIRC it is called Apple Blossom. It was a nice cream, but I still think I like the CTAPT better. A single shave doesn't make a test. It was also the first time I used a Sharp Brand DE blade. I received it as an extra from an order last year and it has just been sitting there in the blade box looking at me. Not a bad blade in the Barbasol. I don't really know much of anything about them.

    Obsession For Men EDT

Wow, that Nord-ost cream has so much lather and it feels so soothing and protective. It also has a nice, although mild cooling sensation. The matching aftershave balsam is very cooling, and the scent goes very well with Obsession. The shaving cream is in the black and yellow tube, and the balsam is in the other tube. This shave was a real pleasure - I enjoyed every minute of it. ;) :D 476MS.jpg 5616501db3efe58592f1dca7f789d41e.jpg

    4 pass (W/W/X/X) + touch ups

Man did I ever need good shave this morning, and I got it! DFS with only two little weepers. I shaved without my glasses on, I wonder if that made a difference. I have a pretty strong prescription, and I wonder if that made me be extra extra careful today. I have to earmark this shave, because it was the best shave in a while - no burn, no red dots, no irritation, just a few little rough spots, but I can live with that over hamburger neck ANYDAY!

No problems at all this go around with creating an awesome lather from the MWF. Either it is a fluke, of my lathering skills have improved since the last foray into the MWF-ishness. Thanks again to Johnny and his generosity!

Now, off with Shawna to see what kind of mess we can get ourselves into. She is talking crazy... diamond earrings, Macy's, Tiffany, ...

    Lady Eversharp - Pink

    Cool Water Rinse
    Victoria's Secret "Appletini" Body Lotion
    Pe Re Ja Cologne

    Sunday.jpg

First time using MWF (Thanks so much Johnny). It was super easy to lather, the pic is post-shave so a little looser than I like but tons of water gets added to my soaps/creams when shaving. I have to say, the cushion and glide were superb. I used the Eversharp to test this out since I make approximately 13" strokes from ankle to knee and then maybe a 12" stroke from knee to the top of my thigh. If a soap doesn't have enough glide, with that long of a stroke the razor will jump or stutter.

Excellent shave! I'm ready for MWF week!

    Let the games begin! :eatdrink047:

Yeah! Read it, saw the movie and had the BBC radio broadcasts on cassette. The radio broadcasts (in fact the original THHGTTG) were hilarious as well. In the eighties I had a Mac Classic with a set of sounds from THHGTTG. Imagine Marvins voice when you do something wrong: "It won't work" and of course my quote (A big hello etc) when you started the Mac. Ah, those were the days...

2.5 days of Stubble and a Slanty

    EBC pre shave
    Vulfix 404 mixed
    MWF
    Merkur 37 C Slanty
    Gillette Yellow
Witch Hazel, Iced Bourbon Vanilla Milk, Vitos
    Alcolado Glacial
    Caswell Massey Jockey Club Talc

I decided to let my face mellow out for a couple of days, and slotted Sunday morning for my return. I again used all of my favorite things and put a fourth day yellow to the test.

With each stroke, the sink percolated with hair. Slanty did the job smoothly and comfortably and all of the products worked in unison.

The end result was a BBS and a smile.
