    Being intrepidatious! (and running a fever :D)

    Brush: Vintage Erskine Badger
    Soap: Williams in Hall mug
    Razor: Durham Duplex
    Blade: Durham Dog Dresser Blade!!!:D
    AS: Tres Flores

    Been meaning to try a Durham. It works well (yes, it's still around as a dog grooming tool :D) Mine's a little older that that.

    It's like shaving stright without the risk.
    It is a safety stright.
    The doublesided blade is a little confusing at frist.
    Good shave, not BBS . If I'd worked a couple more passes, it would have been.
    Good enough.

    If you're thinking of moving to a stright, this thing might be a way to build muscle memory with out scar tissue. :D Wish I'd though about this about 12 yrs ago.

    Fantastic shave, the fresh Voskhod was impeccably smooth, and even with a 3 day growth I was DFS in 2. But I did 4 because, well, you know...

    Today's shave brought to you by:

    hot shower prep, washing face with french trip milled soap, scrubbing with nivea scrubby stuff;
    Omega 636 silvertip;
    Geo.F. Trumper Eucris shaving soap;
    Porcelain apothecary mug;
    Ted Pella PTFE in a Micromatic OC;
    One WTG pass, one ATG pass;
    Custom blended alcohol/aloe/witch hazel/eucalyptus toner AS;
    Nivea Combination Skin moisturizer;
    Penhaligon's Sartorial EdT.

    Soooooo incredibly smooth. I was faceturbating for at least an hour. Even got the chin feeling like silk, which never, ever, ever, ever happens.

    Hot shower
    Merkur 23C/Wilkinson Sword#5 (hand stropped)
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Wilkinson Sword soap in a blue bowl

    Well I knew the preparation is importamt, but never realized it is THAT important! I compared shaves in weeks with different routine. Now I see how I was wrong to not paying much attention to prep procedure. The learning continues!

    Not a lot of freeze in the Gillette, but just enough to feel refreshed. A very nice shave today. I still haven't been able to get BBS with a straight, but I'm making progress. I hope everyone has wonderful shaves today.

    Great shave! It took 4 full passes, but got a BBS nonetheless. Used the preshave oil prior to the 4th pass, which helped. No irritation detected. TGIF!
