It looks like a giant. I picked the satin version as well. Do you have any slipping problems with it? Sorry for the 20 questions just curious lol.:)

Hello TSD - back to the Futur today.

    1902.jpg

    - Haslinger Honig
    - Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger
    - Merkur Futur on 4
    - Astra Superior Stainless
    - The Body Shop Kistna ASB

Haslinger soaps are fantastic - and this one is no exception. Slick and creamy lather in abundance, after my usual 2 passes I had leftover for 2 more I guess. Maybe it doesn't smell as sophisticated as some other soaps, but performance and price make it a winner in my book.

I still don't like these Astra blades that much though - I think the Superior Platinum are better. But a nice shave nonetheless, somewhere between DFS+ and BBS after 2 passes WTG and A/XTG, followed by some touchups. The Futur is an incredible razor - still the best in my den.

    Have a great day y'all ;)

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue (4)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with 'New Spice' aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

The Wool Fat did not disappoint this morning! What a tremendous soap. It's no coincidence that it gets a lot of use on the SOTD thread. Slick, voluminous lather that cushions and protects and then makes your skin feel amazing post-shave. But, I know I'm preaching to the choir because you folks recognize and understand the joys of MWF too. Great stuff.

The V2 open comb continues to do quite well for me. The Personna blade is a great companion to this razor head. My shaves this week have been closer than usual and I can only attribute that to a good blade and razor combination. I'll continue to use the open comb through the end of February and then go back to the closed comb and see how it compares.

Picked up some drug store Old Spice knock-off last week for $2 and decided to mix some in with my witch hazel for a little change of pace. Finished with Nivea balm as usual.

CCS+ results this morning....great way to begin a Friday.

    Have a great FRIDAY everyone!

Good morning everyone. Yesterday while setting up for today's photo I switched my RR jaws top cap for the RR Bazooka one simply because it has the "RazoRock" logo on it. I left on for today's shave, big mistake, the cap apparently has a different geometry than the original Jaws cap and it rendered the razor very mild. I immediately knew this was going to require several extra swipes in order to clean tough areas so I lightened my touch considerably. The result was a very nice BBS in three passes. Stirling's MITA balm is so soothing and smells so beautiful. What a nice way to finish. Have a great shave and a happy Friday friends. :happy005:

:bounce017::signs154::bounce017: Nice write up Perry, I'm glad your enjoying the OC, OC's have become my favorites, very smooooth and comfortable shaves with them. I too feel the Personna labs work beautifully in my OC's. :)
