Great shave again today thanks to the MDC. This stuff makes a great lather that is as cushioning as any I have ever seen while delivering a very good amount of slickness. There is a reason why of the 23 soaps I have there are only 4 that are in my normal rotation. The others I only used mixed with something else.

Well I can tell I am in vacation mode, I posted this on last weeks SOTD :ashamed001:

    SOTD 2-16-15

Hot Shower and Prep -Nivea Men Sensitive Skin Face Wash
    Razor Merkur 34c
Blade Ladas (4) - Really liking this blade!
    Brush - Parker Best Badger
Lather - Wm. Neumann & Co. Signature 1907
Post - Warm water rinse, Maggard Razor Alum, wait 30 seconds then cool water rinse, WH & RazoRock Problem Solver Lime AS Splash

2 pass shave with a few touch ups for DFS - Enjoyed the Neumann's so much yesterday used it again today. Love the scent of the 1907.

No pic today - The wife, daughter and I left early to head to the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in NC. - Some people drive away from winter storms, we drove into its path. Currently sitting in our cottage watching the light snow fall. (light for now)

    image.jpg Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5) (3)
    Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip
    Mug: OS Early 06 1961-1964
    Cream: Cella
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, OS vintage Shulton
Whipped up the Cella with no problem with the WD. Almost done with my first tub of Cell that I got back in May. Good cushion and I really like the FB. The heavy handle and head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressures with the Feather WTG XTG on my face on 5 and ATG on my neck on 3. A little WH, love that Cucumber scent, and after cleanup some JB balm. Gotta finish with some OS. Getting cold here after a week in the 70s. Have a good one!

    February 17 Plans

    MR GLO
    Feather Artist Club razor
    Feather Professional blade (day 3)
RV Shaving handle with a 24/46 mm Shavemac Two-band Silvertip knot
    D.R. Harris Almond cream
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, & unrefined shea butter

My February goal is a close and comfortable two- or three-pass shave with this set up. Recent shaves been been pretty good overall, and today's shave was great! My focus for the remainder of the month is to work on closeness without sacrificing comfort. I finished up my AOS Sandalwood cream, so next up is a partial container of D.R. Harris Almond!

Have a good Tuesday! We'll be digging out of the biggest snowstorm in more than a decade in my neck of the woods.

It was a gold chrome i guess that I polished off to see what was underneath. The gold chrome looked a bit off with the brass head but now I think they look better together.

How do you like your Plisson?

Good job - I think you really improved the look of the T2 handle.
Really liking the Plisson. I actually find that I go for it more often than my SOC boar these days.

Great shot! Thanks for sharing! That is a great view!

I am thinking to myself, "look at the mountains of lather produced by The brush of the Gods!"

Today’s Shave: After using Russian blades for over two weeks I went with the German Wilkinson today. Very sharp and extremely smooth in the mild blue tip. One of the best one day growth shaves I’ve had. There was no irritation, no weepers, and about 90% BBS. Ich bin ein Wilkinsoner. Face lathering cream continues to impress.

    Happy Menthol Monday to all!

    I went back and looked at my post, was running late this morning for a doctors appointment and had to go back and edit my post, to include that my Weber 3Pc is my preferred razor. And yes that is some brush, I have several in my rotation and I seem to prefer the WD, I Have an Oscar11 and an Oscar11OldCorps{which was a joint effort between myself and Steve aka Oscar11, He provided the handle and I got the knot and put it together, there isn a close margin between the two!}
