    Wednesday's action:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra day 4
Stirling Gin & Tonic on the Rocks SS
    Lucky Tiger AS Cream
    Osage Rub AS Splash
    Lagerfeld Classic EdT

Now that I've tried all of my new South African soaps (and I do love them!) I can dedicate more time to my number one favorites! ;)

    Pre: Warm water face wash
    Brush: Omega 20102 Boar
    Soap: Tabac
    Razor: WS Sticky
    Blade: Gillette GSB
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Tabac AS
    IMG_20180213_170708.jpg
I've never used this razor on more than a days growth, usually less, and was curious as to how it would cope with about 34hrs.
Loaded with only a GSB, not too badly is the answer. It struggled with the Van Dyke area but no more so than a Tech, possibly less so.
It's a bit mild to be a daily driver for me but if it wasn't for injectors this would my go to for a quick carefree shave.
The Tabac and the Omega need no comment as their reputations are well established.
    Happy Shaving!

This S. African situation confuses me. You said you didn't go there. Did you just place an order for these S. African soaps?

I've been to South Africa twice. Back in 2001 and in 2003 because I have family there. I didn't buy these soaps - I traded some stuff with the gentleman who owns the company who sells them.

As yet River Valley Trading is not geared to sell internationally. In the future, yes but not right now.

The Tabac soap looks like coffee grounds(to me anway).

And now that I see your post about RVT, I just read your other one describing the Rose. Wonder what else they have. (soaps, that is).

I finally almost used up the original Tabac, so I got a refill puck. The sticker on the lid was the sticker on the puck's wrapper. I just transferred it to the lid. Love the Tabac.

One of my my favourite non-artisan soaps.
MWF, Lea and TOBS also fall into that category.

    Williams Wednesday's Shave

    zcws.gif

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Williams
    JR#259 Synthetic
    Gem Jr. Lather Catcher
    Personna CS
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva Musk

A change up in the lineup today. I got a 3-D printed shim from Fuzzy today (@wchnu), and I want to give it a go for Williams Wednesday. The idea is to change the angle of a modern SE blade to replicate the angle of the original wedge blades.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the JR #259 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Jr. Lather Catcher Razor using a Personna CS blade with a 3-D printed shim and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The shim did an outstanding job with my razor. I almost could not feel the blade. I would say that it did what it was designed to do. Thanks @wchnu and riverrun for the shim.

Tonight's shave was with a Russian Beauty. I has a very noisy 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. This blade can hold a super sharp edge, and has a very high pitch, loud noise, when shaving. Excellent razor.

    Razor- Russian "Орбита"(Orbita) 1970's
    Brush- B400, By Tom

Trying a new deodorant that uses Tea Tree, but seems too strong. I might use it just this once, but I think I'm on to something. I might get a custom scented deodorant developed.

Evening single pass head shave, Pearl-Yaqi DOC/Nacet. Very efficient, but honestly the SABI handle is just too heavy for a head shave with this lightweight head. Will swap handles for full shave tomorrow. Yaqi is a fine match for the Pearl. No five o'clock shadow on the beard thanks to the very close morning shave with the Cooper.
