Whilst shaving I got to wondering, how many things from modern department stores will look this good and perform this well after 70+ years?
    Happy Shaving one and all.

I've been LOVING my ER-1914... It's been moving up my list displacing some other razors despite being newer to the list. I do need to try some MWF though. Reviews seem a little bipolar so I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Maybe if someone wants to offload one they don't like? I'm sure I'll eventually get one.

I will tell you that MWF has a learning curve to it. My first two attempts at getting a good lather out of it failed, today was my first success and it was very nice. The scent is light and clean and would allow you to use any post shave product.

Two pass BBS shave. I think I found my new blade, this feather just cruises through my coarse beard and I was able to achieve BBS with only a wtg and atg pass. No irritation, but I did leave just a couple of spots with a bit of stubble due to some acne there that I didn't want to irritate furthermore.
Also, this rose cream and AS combo work really well together. TOBS performs excellent as usual and the splash left my skin feeling amazing, out of all the splashes I've used, this one is unique. I don't even need to use a balm after.
    Great shaves to everyone :happy088:

Ending the month with a most successful experiment. I've never been warm to the trade-off in comfort and discipline the Ikon Tech demands as the price of its efficiency so it rarely gets used. I tried a whole bunch of caps until I found one on a cheap travel razor that perfectly tames the Ikon without taking too much away in terms of efficiency. The standard cap will now be set aside in favor of this one.

Haven't used a shave stick in a really long time and it showed. Lather wasn't the greatest but more than good enough. Nice shave and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks

Man. Country Club for Men needs to come back, but it seems from a recent conversation via email that he's not planning on returning back to the soaps&splashes for a while. :( Sad because his were some of the best IMO. The custom stuff he made for me should last many years (thankfully I bulk ordered when he was still making them). However, I didn't stock up on Frozen Vetiver splash because I never thought he would stop making them. I think I only have 1 spare bottle of Frozen Vetiver and less than half an open bottle.

Country Club was really wonderful software. Cahaba Blues soap is outstanding. I have some Sweet Water aftershave and one of the last iterations of Modern Fougere. Both of those are wonderful.

    FRIDAY'S SHAVE

    Razor - Merkur Futur
    Blade - [IMG] *6th Shave
    Razor Stand by RV Shaving
    Shave Brush - Omega Hi-Brush 20mm Synthetic (Model# 46745 – 0146745)
Brush Stand by Desire Metal Works
    Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented"
Shave Soap - Henri et Victoria "Cognac and Cuban Cigars"
Aftershave - Henri et Victoria "Cognac and Cuban Cigars"
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Mysterium Serum"
Deodorant - Kaia Naturals (Takesumi Detox Deodorant) "Black Oak and Bourbon"
Fragrance - Maison Margiela "Jazz Club"

I wish I could have had this fully assembled back around Christmas time when I first bought this fragrance, but it took over a month to receive the aftershave splash from Canada due to US Postal errors (nearly lost irreplaceable bottles with their old label that matches my soap!). Luckily the US Post Office found and finally delivered my splashes. Then I had trouble finding a suitable deodorant that paired well with this very specific scent. My Sam's Natural Tobacco deodorant is just strong enough to get involved with the scent and it's not a matching tobacco note, so it messes up what this very nuanced niche fragrance smells like. I found a deodorant that not only is more reserved, but has a much closer scent profile so it doesn't clash. My sets have to be 'perfect' and I don't like to debut them until they are completed. So, I missed almost 2 months of this incredible winter fragrance. This will possibly the last week of winter and Spring scents will debut 'most likely' next week. We'll see. If I happen to get some lucky cold weather I will find an excuse to use this again.
