The Pharoah's Dreamsicle Shave Soap face-lathered well with Bunny B-400 by Tom badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TAR by Tom with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pharoah's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Excellent shave today with this mashup of tobacco scents. Casablanca is not ck6, but still makes very good lather, and TTFFC makes quality splashes that leave my face smooth and protected. I love the ginger note in the splash!

Stirling Sandpiper today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11/TGN 2-Band Finest brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Blue Super Platinum still in the vintage Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper aftershave.

Joseph, that is because the newer Chubby 2 knots (synthetic bristle) have had their knots fabricated a bit differently than the original ones (synthetic badger). I believe there were complaints as to the 'stiffness' of the latter knots, so Simpsons modified them.
I am not certain of this, but from all of the newer ones I have seen and the one I have, they are quite different to the originals.
