Today I used only pure aloe vera gel with no cream to see how well it would work. It also works well like ultrasound gel by itself but with one caveat, the aloe vera will cause stinging on shaved skin unlike ultrasound gel. I know it works fine with no sting whne added to cream to give it extra slickness have tried that already. Both give about the same closeness of shave when used by themselves. Nod goes to ultrasound gel though because of lack of sting when reapplied on multi-passes.

Alpha Outlaw and Arko Shave Stick with Clubman Special Reserve.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Soap: Arko Shave Stick
    Razor: Alpha Outlaw
    Blade: Dorco ST-301 (5)
    Brush: Zenith S series
    AS/EdC: Clubman Special Reserve

Just a nice Saturday shave. Smell like a Grizzled VET/Contractor, again, for the last time in the Middle East! I killed the bottle. The Cremo Stick is nice, but Arko is better. Had to dig through a box before I mailed it home to find an Arko Stick, and put the Cremo Stick in the box.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Lemon ~ Flower Transparent Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Frank Shaving Synthetic.
    Face Lather.
Lather : Nivea Men Body Shaving Stick.
    Blade : Wilkinson Sword. (1)
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Premium. (TTO)

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./ Nivea Men ~ 2 Phase ASL+ Creme.

( Wilkinson Sword Premium (TTO) Razor + Shave Stick Week.)

    Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Another wonderful performance from the Nivea Men trio, It's been some time since i last used the Wilkinson sword Classic blades and forgot what a good balance of sharpness and smoothness you get from them. They definitely are not as sharp as the Indian & Chinese Gillette WS, but they perform with enough efficient & smoothness with good acceptable shaving results.
The Wilkinson Sword razor & blade duo)worked well together mowing through my stubble with ease providing great audio feedback telling me its' cutting through my stubble.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable/near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with small dollop of Nivea Men Creme.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

    Razor: G.E. Jones Shake Sharp
    Blade: Wizamet (Double Stacked)
    Brush: SV 2.0 Bamboo
Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project on Steroids)
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash
    Fragrance: Azzaro Visit Edt

This mornings shave was just spectacular except for using the same soap that I'm getting nose blind too..........Great lather and doughnut hole continues to expand. I saw that Jeff @jgreenepa was packing his Shake Sharp with some straights for a road trip and it reminded me I hadn't used it again since it's maiden voyage after purchasing it. Man alive this thing is an amazing tool for me. I'm amazed at how close a shave is gotten with such ease and comfort. So glad I had my curiosity stirred by Jeff and even better that I found such a good example of one for a fair price. Eye's on the lookout for the other versions if I can find one. If not, I'm still tickled to have this one. Biggest problem with the razor is the question, do you consider it a DE or SE ? [IMG] Humphrey's, Nivea and Azzaro Visit rounded out the great shave. Hope all have a great day and weekend !!

    Cold Water Rinse
    Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick
    Jayaruh 340 2-band Badger
    Classic Samurai
    Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade
    CWR
    Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC

The Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick was applied with the Jayaruh 340 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Classic Samurai with a Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 13
    Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS
    Prep ASB
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

My first time using the Glacial Electric Sheep soap and I frigging LOVE it. That beautiful citronella/lemon/eucalyptus scent together with such intense menthol fumes, that rich, thick, super slick lather which is so easy to work up, and that overwhelming menthol sensation that hits you like a sledgehammer. The mutton tallow base promotes absolutely perfect skincare as well - this soap is magnificent. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave felt rapturous when I got finished. Three passes left me mega BBS!

    Be well and safe!

hot shower with Castelbel Sandalwood Amber bar soap
    TOBS Herbal pre-shave gel
    SchickGrip 3+ passes
    Eversharp Schick Golden (1)
TSD Oakmoss Sandalwood Wheat cream in a warm bowl
    Omega boar
    Thayers unscented WH
    GFT Curzon A/S

I recall trying one of these vintage gold blades a long time ago and having a harsh shave. Today was mild but very nice. Probably not the best blade for this razor so maybe I'll try one in a more aggressive injector.
