I have some Kai blades, are there different kai blades or just the ones in the blue pack?

 

These are the ones I use and have had over 60 shaves with them with really good results.

3 days growth, 2 pass DFS+ with no issues. Really nice shave. I don't need menthol but I'm in the mood for menthol.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap with Mint Extracts.
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl : Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Cream.
Blade: Personna PTFE SS Injector. (D6.)
Razor: Schick Type G Injector.

Post:
Cold water Face Wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Pashana ASL./L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

A new shave set up to start the weekend...i thought it would be a good idea to carry on for using the Schick Type G along with some of my other Vintage SE razors.
The Personna PTFE SS blade finally started to struggle and feel tuggy on the pick up pass but i managed to finish the shave without any blood sport.
I can't complain in the slightest as in theory i actually got seven shaves from the Personna blade. Doing a head shave with any blade is equivalent of two face shaves in my way of thinking.. Head shaving dramatically dulls the edge of a blade, lowering the longevity of a blade much quicker than it does with face shaving...YMMV.

A close comfortable smooth 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

The Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #425 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick J Injector Razor with a Chinese Schick Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Sensitive 5 in 1 AS Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Great summary!
Your assessment applies to me too.As a daily head shaver I’m finding that blades degrade appreciably after the first shave. I’m likely going to stick with my one and done approach.

By any chance is that Williams stick from South Africa? The reason I ask is because they were the original Williams soaps produced and then South Africa started making them. They had a nice rosy scent and much better lather than the Williams soap sold today.

Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap

Any colder than this and my face would have disintegrated - this Citrus Melody soap and aftershave are two menthol atom bombs with a gorgeous scent. The soap is tallow based, the lather is so thick, rich, super slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation is POWERFUL, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep is unbeatable for postshave care, and the Citrus Melody aftershave is witch hazel based so there’s no burning or stinging from it - the scent lasts all day and the menthol sensation hits like a ton of bricks. My brother Fernando made this awesome shave possible!

Razor: Yaqi V3,TFC adjustable- Nice adjustable, no blade tap overhang, 2pc, easy to load blades, easy to clean, mostly a carefree shave. The Yaqi TFC razor works similar to the Gibbs adjustable from the 1930's but use regular blades instead. Settings 3>3>3.5 pickups works well for my shaves it seems.
Blade: Gillette 7oClock SP- Excellent sharp and Smoooth blade, with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Italian barber Amici, nice mild citrus red grapefruit scent with great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Moka express 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + great painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with Yaqi TFC adjustable + 7oClock SP blade.

No, its made in the U.S.A. and if it had a scent its loooooong gone. I have three of these now and they just smell like soap.
