I'll be following your posts with considerable interest. I shaved with a Feather blade for the third day in a row and I found that I had to work a bit harder to achieve the same results like the first two shaves. I may push it to a fourth on Friday. We'll see.

Star of the show was the shave soap made in the UK which was new to me. I saw it was called Dave and the scent seemed to be in my wheelhouse so.....I would call it a Croap as it's soft but not to the point of a cream. It loads easy and takes water well and took to a nice sour cream consistency. The scent is nice and fresh and described by the maker (I agree) below:

The inspiration behind ‘DAVE’ comes from our founder’s father David, a great source of inspiration at Løthur. This was a man who was seldom found without a cup of the ‘good stuff’ in hand (English breakfast tea) and was rarely seen out of his sacred space, the back garden. David grew giant lilies, creeping jasmine, tall sweet peas and vibrant iris flowers.

DAVE opens with light, citrusy and fruity top notes, reminiscent of Darjeeling tea. It has a soft jasmine accord at its heart and is perfectly rooted with notes of assam and powdery iris root.

Have a Stupid Fun Day Folks !!

Above the Tie Colossus with aluminum M2 plate.
    Feather blade (5).
    Razorock 400 Plissoft synthetic brush.
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap.
    Timeless shave bowl.
    Stetson aftershave splash.

I got a couple of new plates in from Above the Tie yesterday.....aluminum M1 & M2. I tried the M2 out this morning and for a mild plate it is very efficient. I need to dial it in a little more.

    Happy Friday everyone!

    Friday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Gillette Platinum day 3
    MSC Frosted Spearmint SS
    Prep ASB
    MSC Frosted Spearmint AS Spray

This was a great Grand Freeze - perhaps not so much from the Frosted Spearmint soap although it’s well mentholated, it’s got a gorgeous spearmint scent, the lather is to die for, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep felt so good, and the Frosted Spearmint aftershave smells as beautiful as the soap, and the menthol sensation from it is insanely intense as well as long lasting. Three passes left me smoother than a baby’s little tukhis!

Have a great weekend - be well and safe!

    Personna GEM SS PTFE

    Lustray Spice After Shave

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready 1924 Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday

Soap: TSD Wheat Shaving Cream, Sensitive
    Brush: Plisson synthetic
    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (2)
    After: CeraVe cream

The TSD Wheat cream makes a great lather! I smear a bit of it on my cheeks and throat and then face lather with a very wet brush. It quickly thickens up and I'm ready to go!

Day 2 on a Wizamet blade in the Feather AS-D2. Very smooth and comfortable shave.

    Have a great Friday!

I have 18 working days left until retirement. :)[IMG]
