Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap with Mint Extracts.
Brush: Omega 49.
Mug Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Williams Mug Shaving Soap.
Blade: Ted Pella PTFE SS. ( D2)
Razor: Gem Featherweight.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel.//Williams Aqua Velva ASL. (Spanish Version)/ L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

A wonderful performance from the Gem Featherweight.....It's only my second shave with the Featherweight, but i feel really comfortable when shaving with it....The Ted Pella blade feels very smooth & assertive pairing together superbly with the razor making a efficient duo.

A enjoyable close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

Razor: Schick Yaqi Final Cut Adjustable DE (3, 3, 2)
Blade: Tatra Platinum (4)
Post-shave: Nivea Sensitive balm



This was my first shave with this razor and it was a good one. The adjustment dial is numbered 1 to 6 but it goes beyond that to essentially 9. I kept it on 3 for the first and second passes, finishing on 2. The Tatra blade continues to impress me and I could definitely feel it. This is an efficient razor with lots of blade feel.

This is also my first use of a House of Mammoth soap which was unsurprisingly fantastic based on all the reviews I've seen. Tobacconist is an exceptional tobacco fragrance blended with wood, fruit, spice...the list goes on. It's one of the more complex scents I've tried and I understand why people love it.

The combination of these two gave me a very smooth and close BBS result. Definitely one of my best first shaves with any razor. It left me wanting to shave more and looking forward to my next shave. 10/10.

This razor / blade combo is a match made in heaven. So gentle and smooth…i love it. The soap has a fantastic Barbershop scent and the lather is fantastic. Ím a Soap Commander Fanboy…

The Jayaruh Brush had absolutely no problems whipping up a fantastic lather. Yoghurt like.

After the shave i went with Weleda Aftershave Balm because i like the skincare and the scent. One of the best Balms for me.

I can’t remember the last time I used this Turkish horsehair brush which a good friend of mine in the UK sent me but I can say this - it’s a hell of a good brush. It really drove the Williams Menthol cream’s lather into my face and whipped it up beautifully. The cream has a lovely scent, the lather is thick, rich, slick and protective, the menthol sensation is at a good middle of the road level, and the skincare is very good. The Prep is and has been my favourite balm for a good while, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave is a top favourite of mine - do I ever love the old school barbershop scent and the menthol punch it gives me. Two passes sufficed to give me a great BBS shave!

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor with a Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

That'd be a great "Throwback Thursday" choice, Gary.

Sunday Shave, Feb 6th, 2022

Razor: Yaqi TFC adjustable, gun metal chromed coated handle- MFG 2021> well built and accurate adjustable razor, I gotten a couple of great shaves already with my new razor (setting #2.3). Works good and looks almost like a Gibbs adjustable razor that uses(proprietary blade) but TFC could be better because it uses regular blades that are appealing to me + affordable.
Blade: Gillette Astra SP(4) sharp & Smooth with great longevity.
Soap: Speick stick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Goblin 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Ach Brito Lavanda aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper operator error = Excellent shave with my Yaqi TFC adj razor + a Gillette Astra SP.
