    Hi Friends,

    Here my Sunday Shave (12.02.2023)

    C6AEC576-D1BE-4096-94D7-3DB520D44829.jpeg
Razor: PILS 101 NE // Blade: Astra SP // Soap: Martin de Candre Fougere // Brush: custom Synthetic // Aftershave; Ebenholz Balm

What a fine shave again. I love the PILS. It is not 100% thoroughly but it has that special feeling while shaving. This razor is so gentle that you almost have the feeling that the razor „pushes“ the whiskers away instead of „shaving“ them off. I hope you know what i mean…

The soap is great. It lathers great and the scent is wonderful. The brush had no problems building tons of lather. Martin de Candre soaps starts to lather with the moment they see water…

So, three passes later i was not completely BBS but hey…who cares?! I had a fun shave and that´s all what´s important. The balm has a lightly fruity touch and goes on very nice. Skincare here is absolutely top notch.

I wish all of you a joyful and relaxed Sunday.

Take your time, enjoy our shaves and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Sunday Schick shave, February 12th 2023.

Razor : Schick adjustable injector Model 3(M3)- Mfg 1954-57, all range aggression, well designed and well built even from a lot of plastic IMO. The nice thing with this adjustable it has fine settings for skin conditions as they change from the 4 seasons where I live + as my beard ages it also seems a little tougher possibly.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector(3) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable IMO.
Soap : Razorock Don Marco, citrus scent of about 5/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24mm Silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
    Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(3.5) + ATG(3.5) + pickups(5 setting).
Post shave : Italian barber Amici splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my Schick adjustable injector M3 with a Personna coated blade.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Proraso Green Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #397 2-band Badger
    Cobra Classic
    Feather Professional
    CWR
    Osage Rub

The Proraso Green Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #397 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Cobra Classic and a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Menthol Monday:

The Mother of all Grand Freezes!

    Hot shower
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Rapira day 13
    Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo SS
    Prep ASB
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
    Christian Dior Fahrenheit EdT

Guys, seriously this type of setup is only for those who are either able to tolerate intense menthol or for masochists because it’s absolutely off the charts. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap is magnificent - the scent is so delightful - it’s Sharp Dressed Man or Creed’s Green Irish Tweed with two boatloads of some of the most powerful menthol I ever experienced, the tallow formula gives this soap such beautiful lather, the freezing sensation hits immediately not to mention how each pass makes it stronger and stronger, but the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Prep increased the comfort level by giving me lots of extra moisturizing and soothing while the Snake Bite aftershave added its own special menthol goodness - it’s pretty much unscented so it can’t interfere with any fragrance I wear. Three passes delivered a sensational BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

Have a good week - be well and stay safe![IMG]

Shave of the Week Starting 13 February 2023

    Gillette Fatboy
    EuroMax blade
    AP Shave brush
    TSD 2X Lemongrass SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    TSD 2X Lemongrass A/S

Awhile back I asked the group if Fatboy's were worth the presesnt asking prices. Lots of good replies but thought I should find out for myself. So I got a couple of them and tried one this morning. I have to say that, with this combo of things, I got a superb shave. DFS+ in 2 passes and it was easy and very comfortable. So this one was worth the price on first use, time will tell when I try other blades. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
