I love it too. I got is as a pif in February 2021, so I have had it almost two years.

 

Changed up the routine a little bit
Warm Shower
Noxcema clone as a preshave

Shavette with a 4 use Dorco 301
2 passes N-S and diagonal
SAS results. Time to trash this blade it was still smooth with no tugging, visually the shave looked good but a quick rub of the face ....stubble felt
warm water rinse and a cold water face cloth followup
Lamborghini Mitigo A/S Balm and cologne - a set I picked up at TJ Maxx on clearance but it is nice ,a fig wood note that hangs around 3-4 hours tops.Wish it lasted longer.

I used to celebrate Saturday Straights on a regular basis. I have not shaved with a straight since March of 2021, almost two years. I was challenged to do another straight video. Here goes.


The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #397 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the H. Böker 5/8 Straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

These Captain Nemo soaps from Kolkata, India are really terrific. Even though they’re not tallow based they still give awesome lather with lots of slickness - this Blend 47 has a mild but very nice eucalyptus scent, it lathers so thick, rich, slick, and protective, there’s a good, strong menthol sensation, and it’s very skin friendly. The Prep has become my favourite balm and for good reason - it’s so moisturizing, cooling as well as soothing, and the Aqua Velva Ice Blue is one of my favourite aftershaves - I love the old school scent and the menthol kick from it. The brand new Rapira in my Tech helped ensure another perfect three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!
