Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10077.
Face Lather.
Lather: Erasmic Shaving Soap Bowl.
Blade: Treet Dura Sharp. (blue pack) (D2)
Razor: FaTip Grande.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./Rapport Original EdT.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups close comfortable near BBS shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops

Here my Shave of the Day (18.02.2024)


Pre: PAA Cube // Razor: Parker 78r Graphite // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: MSC Grapefruit Zest // Brush: PAA Solar Flare // Aftershave: Trumper´s Coral Skin Food

What a brilliant shave this was…wow.

The mix from the Menthol in the Cube and the fruity Grapefruit scent from Soap made it absolutely fantastic. What a pairing. The lather smelled wonderful and it was slick, yoghurt like and very protective.

So the Parker had no problems getting me BBS in 2,5 passes. What a mighty fine razor this is. So smooth, gentle and thoroughly.

At the end of the shave i used the Coral Skinfood because i thought that the flowery scent of the Rose would nicely match with the fruity scent of the soap. And man, it did. Wonderful finish to a wonderful shave.

Nothing less than 10 out of 10

WARNING: this setup is NOT for the faint of heart - it’s only for hardcore menthol monkeys like little old me. My brother Fernando is a true soap and aftershave genius and so is my other brother Jaco. The Frosted Lavender soap and aftershave have the most GORGEOUS lavender scent I ever experienced - the soap’s tallow formula promotes such amazing lather with tons of slickness, the menthol sensation is frigging lethal, but the postshave feeling is so relaxing and comfortable. The Thayer’s Lavender witch hazel hardly has any scent but it’s very soothing, Jaco’s Stoffel balm has a nice minty scent, it’s frigidly cold and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing. Finally, the Frosted Lavender aftershave went on bone chillingly cold along with its magnificent, long lasting scent. Three glorious passes gave me a most delightful BBS shave that I enjoyed from start to finish!

The Archaic Eureka Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Lemongrass Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Caught again by the cut and paste mistake. Oh Well.

Razor : Gem Jr Parade 1912 with baton taper handle. Mfg 1943, tame mid range. Well built to last generations and still gives a wonderful shave in the right hands. I really enjoy this tapered handle and wish there where more similar handles.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, very nice unique scent that turns my crank + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Cola" 22mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Jr Parade 1912 with a coated Gem blade.
