The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem G-bar SE Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Great stuff from two fantastic South African artisans who are dear friends of mine - first of all this Peppermint Latte soap and aftershave from Master Soap Creations are two treasures. A gorgeous espresso/peppermint scent, the soap is tallow based, the lather works up so easily, it’s so thick, rich, super slick as well as cushiony, the blade glide is awesome, it’s a menthol atom bomb, and it’s so skin friendly. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard smells so minty and nice, it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and it freezes like Siberia in January. The Peppermint Latte aftershave has the same delightful scent as the matching soap, it’s frigidly cold, and because it’s witch hazel based it never stings or burns. Finally the lovely Lagerfeld Classic fragrance which I received as a gift from my mother-in-law a few years ago and I’m good to go. Another awesome three pass BBS shave that was lots of fun!

DE SOTD, Wednesday February7th 2024

Razor : Razorock 2nd generation Lupo.72 316 SSP- Mfg 2021>, mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC. This razor gets used more than my other DE razors over the years from a large razor rotation collection. I seem to reach for my lupo.72 mid week regularly and that indicates I enjoy the shave it offers. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp (4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier.
Soap : Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore, vanilla with light tobacco scents that is noticeable + excellent lather qualities. I enjoy this soap a lot the aftershave does not have enough Vanilla like the soap IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Very enjoyable brush to use, my first silvertip badger and impressive from day one. Bought on sale also.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Razorock Lupo.72 with a Perma-sharp blade.

Here my Shave of the Day (07.02.2024)


Pre: PAA Cube // Razor: Feather AS-D2 // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Fitjar Fjelheim // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave: Swiss Pitralon

A good shave has been done.

The soap performed well and the Pine scent in combination with the Menthol from the Cube was really really wonderful.

The Feather did also a good job. Smooth and thoroughly but this time 3 passes were needed because the razor is so mild.

To end the shave i used the Swiss Pitralon which paired nicely with the „mixed“ scent of Soap and Cube.

All in all an 8 out of 10.
