Good morning! Fantastic shave here... I think I'm finally starting to understand what the "no pressure" thing is all about. I want back to the killer combo: slim@5 + voskhod blade (1). No burns, no nick, no stubble. whoooo... DFS, still having some trouble with some difficult spots but I'll win in the end. Oh... and how could I forget: Palmolive Menthol combined with cold water shaving :freezing:freezing:freezing:freezing:freezing

It lathers wonderfully and the black wood bowl is a nice departure from the other bowls and tubes of soap and cream, but the scent doesn't work well for me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dragos, you are becomming a professional with DE shaving. Now, isn't that Palmolive Menthol cream awesome?
The Palmolive, both mentol and palm oil, are great. They could use a little more protection, but for the money I couldn't have asked more.
I find both these creams give my skin great protection. Just for curiosity, are your tubes the 65 gram sizes, and is your menthol tube blue? The reason why I ask, is because I had these creams sent to me from Romania by another friend of mine over there.

40's style SS Voskhod (4) TGN Silvertip Badger TBS Maca Root Shave Cream Nivea Sensitive AS Balm AV Musk Woke up sick as a dog today, but I hauled myself out of bed, into the shower, and plonked myself in front of the mirror for a shave, in an effort to combat. Didn't have too much time but 3 passes still led to a respectable finish. However, I don't know if it's the razor, the blade, or the combination of the two, but even though I read about most of you getting 5 and 6 shaves easy out of the voskhod, I feel like for me the quality of the shave deteriorates pretty seriously around day 4. Like I said, maybe it's the razor?
Yes, 65 gram tubes. I find TBS Maca Root and D'amaris royal more protective, i guess it's just a case of YMMV.
