3rd shave with the Striped Chief with TGN Finest F2 Badger. The Finest F2 is a real nice knot. It has just the right amount of back bone and has a great soft Gel like feeling to it. Great little brush this one!

Very nice shave. Im really enjoying the shavecraft. Used open comb side for 1st pass and flipped over for next 2 passes. Very mild but efficient head. I like it a lot. The restored rubberset is a fav of mine. Its smaller than my normal preferred brushes (i prefer 24mm min but really like 26mm) but the knot is so soft with the perfect amount of backbone. I really enjoy using it. All in all a damn fine shave today.

    First great shave with SC101
Prep: Synergy Coconut Bay Butter Balm
    Soap: Synergy Frost_Byte
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: iKon Shavecraft 101
Blade: Gillette Sharp Edge Yellow (1)
    AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

Smooth BBS on my face, comfortable DFS on my neck. The Gillette blade performed very well today... Maybe the last one was a dud. My neck is still a challenge, but at least I avoided weepers today. I feel like I'm getting better with this razor, but so far, my Old Type out performs it for me. Soon, I'll try the SC head on the Maggard handle.

    Tuesday:
hot shower w/Yardley Aloe and Cucumber bar soap
    ShaveSecret PSO
    Parker 80R 2+ passes
    Crystal Super Platinum (4)
    VDH Deluxe boar
LASS Vanilla Eucalyptus Mint soap (sample) in a warm bowl
    Thayer's unscented with aloe
    Brut AS

Very nice shave today with the exception of lather that was too thin.

I like samplers because it lets me try things before committing to a larger quantity but I need to figure out how to more effectively use a small soap sample. Even though I've done it before, I'm always hesitant to melt the product into the bottom of a small bowl for fear of the heat possibly breaking down or compromising the character but it often seems I end up pushing a little almond of soap around the bottom of my bowl instead of loading the brush. I think I'm going to try taking the entire sample out of it's little container (rather than just what I think I'll use) and try smushing it into the bottom of a small condiment bowl. Either that or rubbing the product on my face like you would with a stick and then face lathering.

    Prep: Shower
    Razor: GEM MMOC
    Blade: Treet
    Brush: Omega 10810
    Lather: Barrister and Mann Cheshire
    Passes: XTG, ATG+ touch up
    Result: DFS

I keep getting better at lathering the Barrister and Mann. It does want to lather. Key is using lots of water. face feels moisturized and the soap provides good glide and cushion. Again the MMOC delivers. However It definitely doesn't get as close shaves as the more aggressive ER 1924.

I started my shave with 3 use blade and a G-bar razor. The razor was tugging and pulling so I changed the blade. The blade wasn't the problem so switched to the 1912. The blade was now smooth and everything went great!

I am going to sell all my "box cutter blade" SE razors except for the 1912, other SE razors just don't work well for me. They all are either to mild or to harsh but the 1912 is perfectly right in the middle. The 1912 gives me smooth shaves, shaving feels more instinctive with it as well.

A rare morning shave after dropping the Mrs to work for 5:30.

    Prep: Village Barber Oil
    Brush: Kent BK8
    Cream: Dr Harris - Windsor
    Razor: UFO U2/DLC
Post: Windsor splash followed by Village Barber Balm/444

I don't use the BK8 often enough, I've considered selling it so many times but every time I use it; luxury!

I lovely morning shave BBS with lovely conditioned skin.

    Think different
Today I decided to just shave and not think about which side of the shavecraft I was using. He result was a comfortable BBS on my face and DFS on my neck with a couple small weepers. I mostly focused on not holding the razor so tightly, and that helped me use less pressure.
I chose Krampert's bay rum today and it works great with the scent of the butter balm.
    Prep: Shea Moisture TBS
    Soap: Synergy Meta Nectar
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: iKon Shavecraft 101
    Blade: Gillette SE Yellow

    AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum
