    The same here. Have read some other plays by The Bard, though. The lighter and funny ones (like 'All's well that ends well'). Fun reading, it is!

    Saturday's Shower and Shave
    A lazy morning and a late start to showering.
    The Omega Midget was up next for lathering duty. Today chosen soap a sample of unknown brand rose scented.
    I chose a vintage Gillette SS, load with a vintage Wilkson blade.
    After three passes it was time for the polar water splash, followed with the facial toner Thayer's Witch Hazel, to seal a DFS Colonmia Road Opener.

    Hope everyone's weekend is going great.

    Giggity.

    I was going to skip shaving today, but I have to be out of the house early tomorrow. Since it is rare that I shave at night, I decided to use bits of kit that don't get used much any more. The FP was the first razor where it clicked for me. I used it exclusively for months, but not much since. I'm not sure why I stopped using it, but it was well worth the $8 it cost.

    Sunday!

    Yesterday the mail brought a puck of vintage Williams, generously sent by Jeff / Stingraysrock. So that was the only option this morning! :)

    Prep: hot water splash, hot washing cloth
    Brush: vintage DVH boar :love029::love029::love029:
    Soap: vintage Williams:love029::love029::love029: (thx Jeff!)
    Razor: Rolls:love029::love029::love029:
    Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
    Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

    SoS 2012-03-04.jpg

    Since I didn't find a mug where the puck fitted in nicely and since the DVH brush is such a nice face-lathering brush, I rubbed the puck over the stubbles and started from there with face lathering. Now there's a joy! The soap exploded into a rich, creamy and soft lather, which was thouroughly enjoyable! I can't describe the scent (I totally fail at that :) ) but I enjoyed that as well. Not dominant or sharp, but, well, nice. :)

    The enjoyable shave resulted in a satisfying DFS +.

    Have a great day!

    Haven't shaved yet today, but yesterday's was a 3-pass shave + 2 rounds of touch-ups:
    Hot shower
    C.O. Bigelow cream
    EJ Pure Badger hair brush
    EJ DE89L
    Lord Platinum blade (4th shave I believe on this blade)
    Hot water rinse, cold water rinse, Cool Waters A/S Splash

    Result: BEST SHAVE TO-DATE! I'm not quite going to call it BBS but it was damned close! I also got the every difficult jaw/neck line better than I have before. All from a blade I was ready to trash after the first day.

    Prep: Hot shower; Dr. Bronner's Castile soap
    Lather: Cella - face lather
    Brush: Simpson's Commodore X2
    Razor: Merkur 39C Sledgehammer Slant
    Blade: Voskhod (2); 3 passes
    Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

    BBS result this morning & had a great time getting there. The slant gives me a much smoother experience than any other DE razor I've used & that is just as important to me as the end result. I look forward to seeing how a Feather works with it but the Voskhod makes a great pairing.

    It's been a long time since I used the Phyto Expert stuff, and I can kick myself for neglecting it. The creams lather up so well and give the skin perfect protection against dryness, irritation and razor burn, and the menthol effect is really nice. The aftershave balsams are a wonderful, cooling, and comfortable finish. I did 3 passes this morning - the 1st was WTG, the 2nd was XTG, and the final one was ATG, but just very lightly. The results were a super-BBS. The Essence of Jerusalem eau de toilette comes from my country, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. (So does the wife!) ;) :D

    Hot shower and facial scrub
    3P pre/post cream
    Feather Artist Club RG
    Semogue 830 Brush
    Vitos Green Soap
    Alum Block followed by 3P cream
    Old Spice AS

    Haven't posted for a few days. Have been traveling a lot , visiting my son in Coventry. He has been taken ill and may have to drop out (temporarily) at university.
    Today I tried out 3P pre/post cream for the first time. The jury is still out....due to the scent. I will probably get used to it, but it is certainly different from Proraso! The Feather AC RG is a razor which needs to be treated with a lot of respect. A lot of care has to be taken compared to the SS.
    A DFS+ with two passes and a touch up.

    Saturday Evening:

    Pre: Hot Shower, Tabac + Glycerin
    Razor: Merkur 23c
    Blade: Treet Classic/Polsilver
    Soap: Proraso White
    Brush: Omega 10005
    Post: Cold Rinse, Thayers WH, Alum, RSC Balm, Proraso ASB

    This shave was not particularly good by any means. The last time I had a shave this bad I was using Proraso white as well, so I'm unsure if it was the soap or blade. I'm leaning toward the blade, because the lather seemed excellent. First 2 passes I used a Treet Classic, I was sorely disappointed, and sore. I had to finish with a 4 shave old Polsilver, and even that was better. Ended up with a load of razor burn, a few nicks, and a nice slice on my jaw. Overall not my favorite way to end the day. Still feels sensitive in places, but I'll live! I didn't lose too much blood!
