I have read posts and watched video where many people like the Feather. The Feather's probably get more mention than any other blade. It is as though the posts on my 180 are too small or the holes in the blade are too big. Even lining it up straight, it often twists when I tighten the handle. It is the only blade I've tried (five brands so far) that has had this issue. I think I will try another pack. Maybe this is a bad box?

This shave is going to be so bitterly-cold that it could scare a polar bear away from the North Pole and make him want to move to somewhere in the South Seas! ;) :D

Great product selection, I really like the Shave Secret I think it's outstanding and works better than some 3 times the price. :happy088:

I'm usually not a big shave oil fan but I do enjoy Shave Secret when I have some extra time. Great results and you can't beat the price!

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #49 boar brush. Two passes with my Pal Adjustable razor and a Schick Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Saturday's Shave
    Cold water this week
    Pso-Homemade mint oil
    Razor-Gillette Flair Tip Super Speed
    Blade-Feather (3)
    Brush-Omega S
    Soap- Van der Hagen
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    ASB-Nivea Sensitive

I was working with 2 days growth tonight, it felt great to relax and let the past few days disappear, if only for a while. In my cartridge days, 2 days growth meant lots of irritation, not so tonight. I really like the Flair Tip/Feather combo and it worked great tonight. 3 passes, WTG, XTG and ATG for a DFS, BBS above the jawline. One nice thing about not shaving yesterday was I got to see my growth patterns. I have several swirls under my jawline and those are definitely my trouble spots. I finished with Thayers witch hazel for the first time tonight, I really like the way it feels and I will be using it over alum unless I'm bleeding. Have a great evening folks!

The WindDrift was reformulated by the MEM Co.-already it smells a bit different than what I recall in my 20's&30's. It's good though-now let's see how it makes my face&neck feel. I was able to snatch the WD during the recent raffle. So now I have a reformulated Rise, and a reformulated WD.\
so much for editing on this baby-this is my planned shave for Sunday

I like them better than the hot water, I don't know if the shave is better but it feels better on my skin. The only problem will be getting cold water in Phoenix in the summer, depending on where the water is coming from determines if it is cold

    3/05/16 - Ever Ready 1914 & WSP

1914 was a year of Progress, experiments, new beginnings, glories, happiness and fear and sadness.
Not only do we see the out break of WWI, which spanned over 4 years, there was also new and exciting experiences we see.

Charlie Chaplin makes his first movie. Babe Ruth makes his debut with the Boston Red Sox. The Panama Canal is inaugurated. And Ever Ready puts in for a Panent for this 1914.

1914 was a crazy year. I try and put myself back to that time. How much the small things meant to people. The majority of men had to go to the Barbershop to get a shave still. I imagine a man saving up and finally getting to order, at his local store, one of these beauties. Think of the excitement when he open that mail call. That little black box that contained such a beauty.

I know back then it was just another daily chore for a man, but I imagine using this made it somewhat enjoyable.
This is why I think that you can still find them in good shave. A man took care of his things. Especially something as nice as this!!!

    A wonderful shave!!
No shim today which made it less aggressive but still smooth. WSP was perfectly slick and comfortable.

    Video up for your pleasure.
