The Tipsoft Blonde Badgers are great little brushes if you can find one that does not have the shedding problem. Reason I think they closed their site. A lot of people started to complain that they never stopped shedding. Mine looks exactly like Rodgers and shed the first 3 times I used it and the guy I purchased it from stated he used it 5 times also and it shed so reason he sold it but last three times I have used it, no shedding. I think the shedding on mine might have been caused by the original owner soaking the whole brush in HOT water. He stated he soaked the whole brush, handle and knot in hot water basin while he showered so quite possible the heated water softened the plug which could have lead to the shedding issue. Speculation on my part and for the moment at least my Tipsoft has stopped shedding but I also just use it now on soft crops and creams.

    Prep- hot shower
    Razor- weishi black chrome
    Blade - feather (1)
    Brush - trader joes synthetic
    Soap - Simpson unscented
Post - witch hazel, neutrogena balm
    Cologne - citrus musk

The shave was a little rough. I'm not sure if pairing the feather with the weishi was the culprit.
The cream was good.. Not used one of these so I got a peanut size portion and bowl lathered it for a minute or so.. It was very creamy.. There is a scent though.. Kind of like a generic lotion or soap scent? But I didn't get much slickness out of it. I kept adding water in between passes and on the final pass I got a little slickness. But by then the damage was done. I was irritated, razor burn and had weepers. I haven't had the weepers in over a week and haven't had razor burn in a long time. But the end result was bbs!! The cologne stung like a motha!!! Wow!
Anyways.. I like the cream. I'm gonna continue using this week. Let's see if I can get that slickness earlier.. ;)
    Happy shaving gents !

Mastro Livi Grifetto in Mother of Pearl Scales

One more impeccable shave with my new Mastro Livi Grifetto. I absolutely love this one having elegant and stunning mother of pearl scales, it is a joy to see and to shave with. The day Mastro Livi made this Grifetto for me, he allowed me filming the making process and I am very glad to treasure this new video in my memories of the straight razors he made for me. As usual, I wanted to share this video with all the fellow wet shavers in order to let you all see, one more time, Mastro Livi at work and showing his art and craftsmanship.

    Astringent: Witch Hazel
    Post-Shave: SC Vision Balm

Very nice shave last night. Soap Commander is some of the best in the business and I really enjoy Vision. It is minty, but not overly mentholated. I enjoy it very much and the scent is unique. The Manhandled Wood Shop 24mm boar is tied with the Semogue 1460 as my favorite boar brush, since my SOC sheds. Overall, had a great shave and got something planned for menthol monday!

    Thank you, Karl.
Considering the fact that the surgeon pulled 4 wisdom teeth and opened my upper jaw to remove another tooth that has been stuck there since puberty, I am quite okay. Pain is bearable, though I'm still not able to open my mouth properly

Had my first shave with the flare tip and it was awesome! Had a little trouble holding the angle at first but it didn't matter. It finished as a DFS after 3 passes with no irritation! Have a great evening everyone!

Derby blades are not for everyone, it seems like most people either love them or hate them. Its all part of the experiment process to find what works best for you. There are too many good blades to waste time with something sub par.
