It is a strong scent. Probably the strongest of all the soaps I use. I like it, but it is different than most of the soap scents I tend to use. It lasts quite a while so I have to match fragrances so that it does not clash with it. Jade East and Tai Winds seems to work well with it.

    Prep: Warm wash and PSO
Razor: 1963 Gillette Ball End Tech
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Soap: VDH Glycerin
    Brush: Omega 31025 boar
Post: Cold water rinse and Captain's Choice Bay Rum

Today's DFS is sooo much better than what I was achieving a month ago! Simple 2 pass with a couple of touch ups and I am discovering how to get my neck around the adam's apple a little cleaner. Instead of pulling my chin up and stretching the skin, I pushed my chin down and I guess flattened out my lower neck area and have a close shave down there finally! I tried to be more patient with my lathering with the VDH and realized pretty quickly that my brush was too wet, so had to add product until I went from frothy to creamier. Had plenty of lather.

    2/8/14 - Bonus head shave!

    Prep: Warm rinse and PSO
    Razor: Merkur 34D
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SP
    Soap: Omega Crema
    Brush: Omega 31025 boar
Post: Cold water rinse and Proraso Green AS.

One nick just behind the crown of my skull but it caused very little concern. Bled very little and cold water seemed to stop it. Near BBS on the skull. 2 pass - WTG and XTG with a few touch ups behind the ears and on the lower neck.

    Hot shower
    Nivea menthol face wash
    Merkur Progress (4)
    Astra SP (1)
    HTGAM Lime
    Omega Pro 48
    Salsa bowl
    Cold rinse
    Alum
    Cold rinse
    Dickinson WH
    Arko Max comfort/444

My 2nd time using the Pro 48. I let it soap while in the shower. WOW! This brush is a lather monster! About 5 swirls around the HTGAM tin and I had enough lather for 2 shaves. I nicked my chin again! Need to take it slow and easy in that area. In all. A DFS was had.

Two day stubble vs Old Type
I am getting over a bad cold, and I didn't shave yesterday. I took the opportunity to test out my Old Type against two days worth of stubble. I think I went too fast because my face felt a little rough, but I got a solid DFS on my neck with BBS on my cheeks. I had a comfy SAS after two passes, but I went for another pass anyway because I like to feel smooth. The kind of smooth I can get with my Old Type is better than the best I've done with my MR10.
The soap lathered easily and generously, with plenty in the brush to paint on for my ATG pass over the butter balm. I may try using the balm for two passes tomorrow.

I'm really liking the Gondolier lotion. I think it makes a difference in how my face feels. It was a little tight feeling after the shave and some Krampert's, but the lotion smoothed it out and smells really great. I may have to go for some of the cologne or deodorant someday.

Prep: hot shower after shoveling yet more snow
Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies Black Tea, Coconut Bay Butter Balm
    Brush: HIS
Razor: Gillette Old Type Pocket Edition
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Sharp Edge Yellow
AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum, Synergy Gondolier Lotion
