  [*]Result: The SCS products paired with a great brush and razor & blade combo led to a really enjoyable BBS shave today. No blood again today. Maybe I am getting my technique down at last. On the other hand maybe I am just lucky two days in a row.

Prep: The usual...shower/OCM

Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (yellow) AND Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (black) - both day 1
After: Thayer's Alcohol Free Original Witch Hazel / Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Result: Good shave. Tried a little experiment with the blades - used the yellow on my right side and the black on my left side. Very close call, IMO. I think the left side (Super Platinum (black)) is a little bit closer than the right side (SharpEdge (yellow)). To me, the black seemed a bit sharper than the yellow, while the yellow seemed a bit smoother than the black. But it was a very close call. Tomorrow they will switch sides - black on the right & yellow on the left.

This is another shaving stick which I don't use as often as I should. The lather is great, and it provides very good skincare, and the scent is lovely!

 

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Popped a fresh feather in the fatboy, and man..........what a nice shave with that blade. The MWF provided plenty of protection and slip......excellent soap!

Got good lather from MWF using the VDH boar, but my arm was tired after how long I had to work the lather to get the magic out.
