I has just finishing my first pass, when I noticed this little lever on the Schick cartridge:



These things are adjustable! I shaved yesterday at the lowest setting, today I set the adjuster in the middle position. The resulting shave was excellent, I didn't even use a third pass. I wish these were still available, but I can imagine that they were very expensive to produce 30 years ago, lots of moving parts in a small cartridge.

3rd shave with the red pack blades. Still going strong. Found that I can get the smell down a bit from the TOBS cream by using more hot water afterwards. That means that i can use it not only in the weekends VERY nice lather from the TOBS cream.

 

Thursday: Lord Smart Razor / Gillette 7 O'Clock yellow label / Arko SS / Boreal brush / Clubman Pinaud Aftershave

Another super comfortable shave. The Gillette blade is probably the smoothest blade I've tried to date, just amazing. And I really enjoy Clubman aftershave, it feels great and my wife loves the aroma.

  [*]Result: While today's shave was smooth and BBS it was to say the least boring. I have some other heavy things on my mind and I did not let myself go as I usually do when I shave. The GEM Jr and Ted Pella blade make for an awesome combo for my daily shave routine. No blood today.
