Good Morning everyone, today's SOTD as follows;

Romer-7 DE safety razor.
Personna Platinum Chrome blade.
Omega Travel Brush (Boar).
Cella shaving soap.
Captains Choice Sandalwood AS Splash.
Bulgari Extreme cologne.

Let me begin by saying this new razor is CRAZY aggressive! This was my maiden voyage for this razor, and I did not expect it to be so aggressive. I read a review on the razor on another forum, and I decided to try one. It is made in India, and the manufacturer has several different models available. I picked this one simply because I liked the way it looked. It almost had me BBS in one pass! Amazing! It is not a razor for the faint at heart. In my opinion it was a $8 dollars well spent, and I will use it again. Here's a couple of photos-

Funny, I keep seeing Romer razors everywhere I turn these days
Seeme like they are really good value for money. Do they all say "Good Morning" on their heads?

 

IDK if they all say good morning on the cap, but mine has some flowers on the cap. All in a straight line in the middle of it. I got mine from Atlanta_Trader on eBay. He's in Texas. I hope this input helps.

Day #7 of the seven day exploration: Raso Zero shaving soap by Tcheon Fung Sing

Prep: hot shower

Razor: Gillette Slim (birth quarter) @9

The soap:
It is a soft soap (softer to the touch than Cella) and it has a light and fresh scent. It comes in 'samples' of 100 grams and bricks of 1,000 ml. It used to be available in tubes, but was too thick to be practical as a cream. You had better cut open the tube, scoop out the soap and put it in a jar.


Ingredients:

• Stearic acid
• Aqua
• (indecipherable - the label on the jar is a too small and unreadable copy anyway, so I had to try to find a pic of the label online, which turned out to be near undecipherable as well)
• Cocos nucifera oil
• Potassium hydroxide
• Sodium hydroxide
• Menthol
• Eucalyptus globolus leaf oil
• Limonene
• Parfum

Lathering:
The brush loads quickly and forms lather as quickly as Cella and is nicely soft and slick. The fresh scent 'opens up' while lathering and freshens the skin as well. Very mild menthol effect (probably too little for our 'zero degrees Kelvin' friend @crackstar , but just right for me )



Shave:
The slick lather has a nice cushioning effect. After the pass some slickness remains.

After the shave:
Very light alum reaction today. I guess thanks to the menthol and/or eucalyptus. That and the fresh blade. The scent dissipated quickly, but the reshness remains for some time. Skin feels a tad dryer than usual afterwards, but not in an unpleasant way.

Overall verdict:
This is an excellent soap of good quality which lathers easily. The price is about the same as Cella.

BBS!

Tabacstag mit Barrister and Mannuary
I could no longer resist the new jar of Tabac I got in a great deal online. It's the newer logo but the same excellent soap. The lather was optimal and the HIS felt great on my face. Der Futur used a Personna lab blue to complete its dastardly mission easily and cleanly. I finished up with B&M Kyovu Bay Rum and Pi Neo and I smell and feel great despite shoveling three inches of new snow before work.

I expected the Tabac lotion to be...well, a lotion. Like Creamo, L'Oreal, Neutrogena, etc. But it's a liquid. My wife said "Tabac" sounds like a name from Star Trek.

today's shave was very nice. brush and lather were optimum. three passes with the shavecraft(open, open, bar) gave great results. I'm clean, smooth, and comfy. finished with iced Florida Water.
