SoS: January 13, 2014 - January 19, 2014

Sunday round 2.
This morning's shave was so sketchy that I thought I would get a start on Monday morning with a Sunday night shave.
Prep - hot towel and homemade PSO
Blade - Astra Super Platinum
Razor - Gillette Super Adjustable (5)
Soap - Omega Crema de Barbera
Post - Cold water rinse and Captain's Choice Lime
I had a good 3 pass shave tonight. No irritation, no weepers, no nicks. I used the Black Beauty and Omega soap and plan to use them both every day this week. The PSO made a real difference in the slickness of my face. I only have a couple of problem areas still, on the right side of my neck, just below the jawline. Might have to use my left hand to get the proper angle.
I have to say that I have enjoyed shaving more in the past 2 weeks than I had for the past 35 years!

 

One last shave for this week's post. First Time using the Gillette SB, and unless it is a fluke I absolutely love it!! I am hoping this is my go to blade (to be).

Razor: 58 Gillette SS (Flare Tip)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Escali Badger
Bowl: No bowl, face lather
Pre Shave Oil: Olive and Castor oil (Homemade recipe found on TSD)
Shave Soap: Proraso Green
Aftershave: Nivea sensitive Balm, No need for Alum, barely any weepers.
