I can be at the Tampa Airport in about 30-45 minutes from my place. Jeff is probably a little farther away but not a whole bunch

    Hot Shower

    VDH Boar

    Witch Hazel
    Corn Husker's Lotion
    Clubman AS
    Murray's Superior Pomade

Ever had one of those razors that with only a few laps on the strop before each shave seemed to indefinitely retain a scary sharp edge? Well this one is my version of that razor. I could have quit after 1 pass and been at presentable to DFS level. I did a second pass for BBS. The third pass was just for fun and produced a completely off the chain BBS shave. Great shave with great (old school) shave gear

    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Versace L'homme EDT

I had almost forgotten how nice the Lord Emofresh cream is. What a lovely scent it has, and it has such rich lather with a nice cooling effect. The Arko Aqua gel also puts a wonderful chill in the skin, and leaves it feeling great. ;) :D

Do not generally shave in the morning but a function today dictates that I do today.

    • Hot shower
    • Fendrihan Finest Badger Brush
    • Proraso Green Tub SS
    • Butterscotch Schick Injector
    • New Schick Blade
    • Cold Rinse
    • Speick AS Splash
    SOTDJan21-11.JPG
This is the third 1937 Schick Injector I have purchased but only the first that will hold a blade tight.
I must say it delivered a fantastic shave, comparable to my Gem G Bar.
This razor had the original Blade Blank in it when purchased, I believe I was the first to use it.

    My First Straight Shave...

5/8 Lion Brand Union Cutlery Razor
    Gillette Red Tip
    British Wilkinson

    Arko Shave Stick
    MYCarver 24mm Finest

    Alum
    Superior 70 Bay Rum

We had some snow last night and work was delayed. I moved up my first straight shave since I had some extra time this morning. I was able to get through two WTG passes using the straight. Using the left hand felt a bit awkward but got easier by the second pass. The chin will take some time to figure out. I used the red tip for a quick ATG after the straight.

Overall, I'm very happy with the first straight shave. It wasn't as smooth as a safety and left me with a bit of minor irritation. That will come as my experience and technique improve.

    Have a great day all.

I've had this tech for at least a few weeks now and just used it for the first time today. Had I known what I know now, I would've been using it right out of the mailbox. It's a really great shaver, extremely smooth without being too mild. All around great shave with cold water rinses between passes. DFS, no irritation. Rating: 4.8!

Pre-shave Soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur Progress XL
    Blade: Supermax Super Stainless
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
    Cream: TOBS Lavender
A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel, Mr. Taylor Splash

Comfortable, smooth, BBS without having to work hard for it--an excellent shave. The Musgo Real soap was a new twist for me, and it certainly is a nice soap for using before the shave. TOBS Lavender is one of my favorite creams, and the Mr. Taylor splash provided a fine finish.
