    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Brush: Simfix Grosvenor
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: I Coloniali Mango Oil Soap
    A/S: Alt Innsbruck

The I Coloniali is a bit of an enigma. It is labeled as a cream but it is clearly a soap. Although the lather was not as creamy as I get from my tallow shave soaps, it seemed slicker and I enjoyed a very close shave. The Alt Innsbruck was the perfect finish for a warm winter day (yea...I am rubbing it in a little  ).

Hey GI and Jeff, I was answering your comments above and got cut off the web. My router went belly up and it's been a day or so getting it fixed. I finished my writeup and tried to post it but I guess it didn't take. At any rate, sounds like a plan on meeting up in Tampa in March. I'll get back with you all on the particulars before the time comes. Looking forward to seeing ya! :)

This entire week has been great for my shaves--I think today may have been the best one. I absolutely love the Musgo stuff, and I'm planning to use it more often. ;) :D

Day 3 with the straight is in the books. It took me a while and had to re-lather to finish my passes, but it was a successful shave. I didn't do any serious damage, just a nick under the nose and a bit of irritation on my neck. It is going to take some time, reading, and a bunch of practice until it feels second nature, but I am enjoying it so far.

    Have a great day all.

Not the greatest shave today. Lot of pulling with the Clean Cut. Gonna have to take it to the hones again and give it some more attention. I'd call it a SAS.

    Great pics gentlemen! :happy096

    Have a great day everyone!

Lloyd, my friend--I was thinking to use my Arko stick this morning. I didn't, because it had been over a year that I didn't use the Musgo cream. This Tuesday, it will be the Arko! ;) That soap is a killer, I just love it to pieces!

Thanks guys. A year ago, I couldn't have pictured myself with a straight razor in hand. Now I am just trying to learn as much about them as possible. It's a bit unnerving at first, but I am becoming more comfortable with each shave. I'm having a great time and getting satisfactory shaves. Straight shaving seems like it is fairly easy to learn, but will take a long time to master.
