Hi folks, I was feeling a bit decadent this morning, so for today's SOTD I used a 1909 Gillette ABC Pocket Edition Razor set, and achieved a fantastic DFS in one full pass. God Bless, and have a great Sunday-

First time using the GEM bullet tip and what a smooth shave it was, two pass with minor touch up for a near bbs. I am really loving these vintage GEM razors. This one came in the case with paperwork etc, seller told me it had never been used .. well it has now, no way can i leave it just set in the case!
    Have a great Sunday everyone

Great shave despite the Astra being just about finished. The Tibet cream lathered like mad and felt very cooling. The Lucky Tiger balm and Rubby Dubby Doo soothed and really froze me!

    Have a nice Sunday!

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20180114_085137.jpg

    Prep: Occams Crushed Lime
    Razor: Razorock Hawk
    Brush: Maggard 30mm synthetic
Soap: First Canadian Maximo Gomez Cuba
Post: Stirling Arkadia balm, Fine L'Orange Noir

Drama free shave this morning. Excellent lather from the Maximo Cuba and the scent is a bright fresh citrus tobacco. The Maggard 30mm Brush whipped up lather nicly in the copper bowl. Finished off with Akadia balm and L'Orange Noir to keep the scent going all day. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

Felt red today, Ferrari Red to be exact (close enough). A quick 2 pass relaxing morning shave. The SS General and Feather Super were meant for each other. Just a magnificent shave. And the scent from CH Man Sport just put a sweet bow tie on it. Have a great day and shaves Gents..... ;)

Really breaking with my "tradition" (read habit) this morning. For several years, I've rotated between two razors and 4 or 5 brands of blades that work well in each razor. Load in a new blade after Saturday's shave and start off Sunday with a fresh blade. Consistantly get 7 DFS+ to BBS shaves all week. Starting this month, I was trying various blades that I retired for one reason or another and my 7 shave rotation is out of whack. Got only 1 shave out of a Wilkinson Sword blade on Sunday. Got 3 lousy shaves from a Voskhod. But on Thursday, I loaded a Polsilver SI intending to use it for 3 shaves and get back to my normal rotation this week. Not gonna happen! This blade, in this slant is giving me some of the best, if not the best shaves ever. So, I'm going to ride this horse until it starts to falter. Stayed with the same set-up as yesterday and will continue using it as it's a perfect match for me.

    Soap: RazoRock Classic
Brush: Omega 10086 - black handle not shown in pic as I'm not going to take another pic
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant
    Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (4)
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman

2108EE32-3FCF-47B7-B810-8AE4C3D619E8.jpeg Prior to starting my journey to review 40+ soaps in this thread, Catie’s was one of my favorite soaps. Now, having sampled some of the best of the best today’s artisan soaps, it’s dropped down the list a bit. Still a good soap, but the slickness, protection, and latherability of some other artisans really outshines it for me.
