It appears that the razor with less blade exposure has a significantly larger gap, making it far more "aggressive".

This is the only John & William Ragg razor I own not named, “Napoleon.” The use of the full name for William vs. Wm makes me think this is earlier 1800s. My swoopy ivory one was tagged as an 1825 when it was sold from the Ragg family collection. It also is stamped with the longer version of the name - hence my guess at age.

Anyhow, it’s barely a quarter hollow and a little more work than a hollower grind but a wonderful result :happy036:

Schick adjustable injector, Schick injector blade, shave 9

This one was never formally designated and can be identified by the all the plastic handle without any stickering on it. This style was produced in the 1980s with this one produced between 1982 - 1984 since it has a logo stamped on the razor head. Razor was set to it's most aggressive setting. This shave was to prove to myself that this blade still had a shave or 2 left in it and wasn't spent. BBS finish achieved but barely and point proven to myself that a milder razor like the Parker adjustable which I used prior on shave 8 doesn't allow for you to get the most longevity out of a blade.

    SUNDAY'S SHAVE

    Razor - Plisson/Joris Odyssey
    Blade - [IMG] *2nd Shave
Shave Brush - 20mm GBS Synthetic 3rd generation
Shave Stand by Robert Evans on Etsy. Must request custom project to order.
    Suds - Ogallala Bay Rum
    Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented"
    Aftershave - Gabels Bay Rum
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Mysterium Serum"
    Deodorant - Ogallala Bay Rum
Fragrance - C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries No. 032 Bay Rum EDC

***EDIT - 2 pass + minor clean up, BBS. I got 2 weeper-bleeders on my left cheek, but after my minor clean up and rinse I didn't see them again. Completely disappeared. My blood clotted perfectly, no alum needed. Score one for nature. The Odyssey razor is aggressive and got the job done. Bay rum smells fantastic in winter. Loving this shave and scent today.
