Clubman Shave today. I have to say I really like the Clubman Shave Soap. Also used a SC New with a vintage Carbon Steel blade. I like the more rigid blade in the open comb, but it was not as smooth as a stainless.

 

After walking home from taking my second grader to her bus stop this morning, it occured to me while I was walking back in -21F degrees that today would be a terrific day to shave with my favorite Fougere soap.
And no you are not seeing double,
Its not some kind of Magic trick.
There are 2 sets here.
Last week our shave brother Rex Bethune
commented that he had a set of the Unobtanium, The Magician, that he didn’t want, so I managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat and here we are.
My new Chisel & Hound Morado Taper with the V13 Fanchurian knot provided a fabulously creamy lather with its completely flat facing gelly knot.
My Filarmonica Muleta scooped off the whisker embedded slick lather with masterful precision leaving as our other shave brother Jeff Greene says, a velveteen rabbit result.
In true shavedom fashion Rex also thru in a pack of the new Stranglettes he had.
Awesome shave!

The Day After My First ARKO Shave

Soap: Homemade melt-and-pour blend

Well, turns out that the Arko fragrance did irritate my skin after all. That's OK, it was an experiment. When I told my wife that it bothered my skin and I wouldn't use it anymore, she asked "Can I have it?" -- the strong, fresh soapy smell appeals to her!

Today I wanted a mild, soothing shave. My homemade melt-and-pour soap blend is absolutely scent-free and is soothing with shea butter and bentonite clay. The Green Ray brush is wonderfully soft on the face. The mild Blue Tip razor with a new Super Iridium blade was smooth and gentle. CeraVe cream is great for soothing and moisturizing.

My face feels smooth and comfortable!

 

I've never seen Proraso Yellow before. How would you describe the scent?

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend... Carrying on with the black carbon blade, another great blade from the Treet camp that i have infrequently used.
It's been a while since i last used the parker 24C which paired together with the Treet black carbon blade very nicely with no issues making a smooth non-aggressive combo.
The 24c is my least aggressive OC razor in my den but like all my parker razors it still gives an efficient shave when you apply a steeper shaving angle.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel on it's maiden outing.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.

Good shave. The razor is such a great razor. Gentle, thoroughly and smooth. Tabac is a classic. Love it or hate it but the lather is top notch. I have the „old“ Tallow version.

The Shannon's Soaps Indigo Oud Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Treet SE Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Classic Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
