Sunday shave, Jan 2nd 2021

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021> tame mid range, good daily driver, very enjoyable. Use a wash cloth to assembly parts over because of small head pieces.
Blade: Schick P30 (1) excellent blade, Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum & Sandal wood, nice Bayrum scent with some clove, excellent lather qualities. The soap foams differently than most soaps IMO.(misted)
Brush: Yaqi Atlantis 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + great painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel cleanse, Ogallala Bayrum + sandal wood nice sweet Bayrum with some clove+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Schick P30.

Fabulous 3 passer, this Maxfli has some of the loudest feedback. BAUME.BE one of my favorite shaving creams, quick to lather, super dense with excellent slick and long lasting face feel. Lavender Planet....reminding me that is was low 70s yesterday about 2pm, then by 5pm it's in the 20s (with a single digit 'feels like').

The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with the SlimGem Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Taipan 3D SE Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Roger said the Taipan was named for the poisonous snake from Australia. I did not know that when I chose Fine Snake Bite for today's shave. Fortunately, no bite from this snake.

Menthol Monday:

Not as cold as usual but still cold enough!

This little Frank brush performs very well - it was sent to me as a gift from a friend of mine and if you’ll notice in the picture it has a Canadian and an Israeli flag painted on it. The Lyko cream is from India, it’s very popular in barbershops over there, it has a very nice aqua/minty scent, the lather works up very easily, the menthol sensation is not overwhelming but it’s really pleasant, and it’s very skin friendly. As always the Prep delivers on the postshave care - there’s plenty of menthol cooling in it, and the Aqua Velva Sport aftershave went on icy cold along with its nice old school scent. The Gillette Platinum blade is soon going to need a change, but I still managed to get a very smooth two pass shave.
