Thursday morning:

My first shave in a week because I was sitting Shiva for my Mom.

It’s unbelievable how heavy my beard is and how fast it grows because I had to use my wife’s electric clippers to get the stubble down to a point where I could start lathering up. The Vintage Spice soap’s scent is so wonderful - it brought tears to my eyes because it’s so bang on to the Shulton Old Spice soap that my Dad, of dearly loved and cherished memory used, the lather was sumptuous, and the postshave care was so soothing, gentle, and comfortable. The Aloe Vesta moisturizer is a great balm because it’s unscented and very soothing, while the Vintage Spice aftershave gave me its gorgeous Shulton Old Spice scent and a great feeling. I needed SIX passes but I had a most delightful BBS shave.

DE SOTD, Thursday, January 11th 2024

Razor : Razorock Lupo.72 2nd generation - Mfg 2021>, mid range. Perfect razor for my razor rotation and checks all the boxes for what I like to use. Excellent machining and finish QC with a nice efficiency range. The scalloped safety bar is a good idea for lather flow. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : GSB(2) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier in my shave den space. It is a nice balanced blade that gives sharpness + smooothness blade glide and is not all sharpness so I call it balanced perfect blade.
Soap : Speick stick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities. Very hard soap that lasts and is worth every penny spent.
Brush : Yaqi "orbital ring" 24mm boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split ends bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual cleanse + Ach Brito cologne aftershave + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a GSB blade.
