Prep: Warm shower:/Imperial Leather Lavender & Wild Iris Body Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Haslinger Aloe Vera soap.
Blade: Statum Platinum Chrome. (D1)
Razor: Parker 55SL Semi-Slant. (Face)
Razor: Parker InjRzr. (Head/Dome) (Setting 4) - Personna Injector PTFE. (D1)

Post:

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Last week I reacquainted myself with the Super Shave X Platinum and was pleasantly surprised how good the shaves that I have had with them This week I'm returning to the Statum Platinum Chrome another firm favourite Subcontinent DE blade pairing it up with with the Parker 55SL making another wonderfully smooth efficient razor/blade duo.

The Haslinger Aloe Vera soap is such a great performing nice mild fragranced shaving soap which my mature skin loves and creates an acceptable lather in a short space of time which doesn't dissipate or dry out in-between passes leaving a superb post shave feel.

I will carry on using the same hardware until the end of the month.

An invigorating cold water face and head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.

The Derby Shave Stick lathered well with the Jayaruh #71 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gravjura 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Such a delightfully refreshing setup this morning after a hot shower. This Explosion de Cedrat soap from Captain Nemo smells so beautiful - a tangy lemon scent with great lather, lots of slickness, a very chilly menthol sensation, and a really comfortable postshave feeling - my brother Abir sure knows what he’s doing. The Kaffir Limon aftershave has a very soothing, moisturizing feeling as well as lots of menthol and a gorgeous lemony scent. Finally the beautiful Pe Re Ja lemon cologne rounded out everything - this cologne is from Turkey and there’s an interesting story behind it. Three passes resulted in a wonderful BBS shave that was such a pleasure.

DE SOTD, Saturday January 13th 2024

Razor : Razorock Wunderbar 316SSP slant with a Modified Micromatic handle- Mfg 2017>, mid to upper mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC. I found the best way to shave with the Wunderbar slant because of large radiused circular head design is a steep approach(riding the bar) with a short handle for better strokes near base of my neck and less leverage + weight. This slant likes a gentle light touch also and it will perform very well has been my experiences using it over the years. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : GSB (2) Sharp and Smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade in my den space.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green" nice fresh natural scent of something near flowers and edge of a forest with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper"24mm boar bristle brush. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi The Green AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Wunderbar with a GSB blade. Very enjoyable shaving this morning with nice scents and great gear.
