DE SOTD, January 16th 2024

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE 316SS slant with a Yaqi Nickel coated brass handle- Mfg 2023>mild to tame mid range depending on blade used. Excellent machining and finish is adequate for my shaving needs. Interesting design of sloped safety bar with torsional blade clamping all in one. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai SS extra wide(5) sharp and smooth. Great blade for milder razor IMO.
Soap : Razorock Irish country side- nice mild scented fresh scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Razorock Irish countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi SLOPE 316SS with a Kai SS extra wide blade.

Yup, I'll be here all week! Finish out the week with Bay Rum, though I was tempted to go through all 23 Bay Rums in my den. I broke down yesterday and orderd Master Creations Frosted Bay Rum (so make that 24) and if it arrives this weekend I will add to next Monday, Menthol SOTD.

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M Adjustable Razor and a Supply Black Label Blade Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Fernando’s Frosted Spearmint soap and aftershave are magnificent - the scent is beautiful - in fact it’s exactly like the Stirling Glacial Spearmint, the soap’s tallow formula gives it such sumptuous lather that has so much slickness, the menthol sensation is strong, and it’s chock full of soothing skincare. The Gold Bond moisturizer has plenty of menthol in it also, and it’s very soothing. The Frosted Spearmint aftershave is a menthol atom bomb and it’s so comfortable on my skin. Finally the Chabrawichi cologne from Egypt is so CHEAP but it smells so nice - the scent profile is lemon and lavender. Smooth as silk from three passes - another great shave that was lots of fun.
