My dear brother Jaco in Pretoria, South Africa is another soap genius - his Gentle Giant smells so beautiful, although it’s not a tallow soap it sure lathers like one - not to mention how slick it is, but the postshave care is terrific. The Lubriderm moisturizer works superbly as a balm, and the Musgo Classic aftershave smells great - I wish it wasn’t so oily but that’s a small matter. Another brilliant three pass BBS shave that was lots of fun!

The GZD Berber Stick lathered well with Jayaruh #460 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Baton-handled Treet SE Razor and the Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears Transparent bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Ikea Kalas Side Bowl.
Lather: MWF. (Tallow)
Blade: Amazon Solimo. (D1)
Razor: Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone. (Settings 3 & 4.)
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head) (D4)

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./Scentalis Original Pour Homme EdT.

(Face & Head Shave)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend... 'The Fat' never fails to provide a superb slick protective lather. Another great traditional shaving soap gone. Fortunately for me I have 2 unopened boxes of the original tallow version, + a near full round of original tallow Kent Luxury soap which will hopefully keep me going for quite some time.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Scentalis Original Pour Homme EdT to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.

Great shave bro!

In terms of scent I can’t see any difference at all between the GZD and Arko sticks. They both lather superbly also but to me the Arko one is more skin friendly.

Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze:

Quick shower

Stirling Frozen Tundra SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Noble Otter Northern Elixir AS Splash

This morning the Frozen Tundra felt so bloody cold that I thought I was shaving with a Glacial soap - this stuff is actually one small step lower than the Glacials. The scent is so beautiful - it’s got wintergreen, peppermint, and earthy notes to it, the lather is AWESOME, it’s so slick, the menthol pummelled my face non stop, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also very chilly as well as soothing, and the Northern Elixir aftershave smells great - it’s a blend of eucalyptus and peppermint not to mention how frigid it is. Three passes did the job for me - another dynamite BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!
