Prep: Warm shower:/L’Oréal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energy Taurine Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10066.
Face Lather.
Lather: LEA shave stick.
Blade: Amazon Solimo. (D4)
Razor: Baili BD177 Rose Gold TTO.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Swagger ASL./Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

Early morning shave,

I find the Lea shave stick is absolutely superb, not just for it's price tag, but most importantly for it's performance & post shave feel.

A close comfortable silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.

Until I received this Citrus Verde soap and aftershave as a gift I’d never heard of Oleo Soapworks but I must say that their stuff is pretty damned good. The scent is very nice, the soap has a duck fat formula, it gives great lather that’s quite slick, and it’s pretty good in the skincare department. The Lubriderm moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Citrus Verde aftershave smells lovely - not only that, it gives a pleasant menthol kick. Three passes gave me a super duper BBS shave that was so enjoyable!

The Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal Shave Cream lathered well with Semogue Excelsior 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Cobra Classic razor and the Feather Artist Club Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

DE SOTD, January 9th 2025

Razor : Yaqi Tile razor head 316 SS with a Yaqi Brass coated with Nickel coated handle. Mfg 2021> mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining and the design is easy for finding correct angle to shave with. Similar to Henson razors in design but SS.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI (1) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Black Pearl, nicely scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Tail coats" 24mm G4 synthetic. Great brush for my general shave needs.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Black Pearl with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Tile razor with a Polsilver SI.

Friday 10th January
Schick I1 + Schick Injector II Japan #4 + Zenith 506 Olive Wood + Tabac Stick + Williams Aqua Velva AS - Aloe Vera Gel

 

I'd say there's a lot of Tabac in there for it to be called a "stick". Ahhh, that's just me.

 

Friday morning:

Shulton Old Spice Cologne

In terms of scent the Cold Spices soap and aftershave are both very close to the Shulton Old Spice but the menthol sort of blurs the scent a little. The soap lathers very well if you leave your brush wet, there’s plenty of slickness, and the skincare is fairly good. The Lubriderm moisturizer is so soothing, and the Cold Spices aftershave felt nice and chilly not to mention how nice it smells. Finally a little Shulton Old Spice cologne which smells so delightful. Three passes gave me a wonderful BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!
