Final Day of Face Latherers' Week

Pre: Hot shower, homemade vanilla-orange PSO
    Razor: Ikon Slant, stainless
    Blade:: Feather Hi-Stainless
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 (2-band)
    Lather: Martin De Cadre, scented
    Shave: Three passes (WTG,XTG)
Post: Cold water rinse, Alum block, Black River Bay Rum AS

Finishing Face Latherers' Week the way I started it: Ikon slant, Simpson Chubby, & scented MdC.
I am glad I had the opportunity to use the Ikon, having heard so much about this razor—the good and the bad.
Overall, my impressions are quite favorable. I love the quality feel of this razor in the hand, and the design of the slant head makes it relatively easy to find the ideal angle.
I did manage to nick myself a few times with it (user error), but once I found the proper touch and angle, the shave went brilliantly. Another near-BBS shave in two passes.

I did discover an ideal combination— the perfect match: Simpson Chubby and Martin de Candre soap. This is what face-lathering should always be like! Generous swatches of rich, thick lather painted and massaged across the face. Decadent! I would even consider shaving with a cheap BIC disposable if I had the opportunity to do multiple latherings with this combination. :)

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
    Razor: EJ DE89L
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
Soap: Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Floid Amber

Excellent shave! I'm using a sample size of Floid Amber, but I'm going to have to get a full size bottle. I love the powdery scent it has after first applying it. It dries down to such a nice scent that I just can't get enough of it.

    Have a great day!

Excellent shave this morning! The new San Valentino soap by RazoRock is the Beethoven's 6th of my soap collection. It is light, fragrant, and like walking through a park full of beautiful flowers! It lathered like a dream with my Simpson P8, in best.

The post shave was just as pleasant as the shave. The citrusy highlights of the Cat o Nine Tails blended perfectly with the lemon and rose notes of the San Valentino. To top it off, the Simpson shave balm left my face feeling rejuvenated and ready for the day!

Edit: wrong brush! Lol! (That's embarrassing)

    Razor:
    Rimei
    Blade: Rapira (5)
Soap: Arko enriched with lavender oil

A CCS this morning. Rapira is still sharp and comfy, I think it can manage one or two more shaves.

    Hi Friends,

seconds ago i had a very relaxed shave.
    I used the following equipment:

-Prep: hot towel + face wash with AXE Chilled
    -Soap: RazoRock XX
    -Brush: Mühle 23mm Silvertip Fibre
    -Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    -Blade: HEMA
-Aftershave I: Bloc Osma Alum Block
    -Aftershave II: Floid Blue

The soap is really really good. The scent could be a little more intensive for me,but nevertheless is the scent a very fine composition of floral notes with a hint of marine breeze. Stable, slick and thick lather within seconds.Very very nice. The Floid Blue is a very good addition to this smell. The Fat Handle Tech wasn´t used a while, but now i know that i have to use it more often. Gentle and thoroughly.

So my Friends, enjoy your shaves and enjoy your time, but one thing i have to say:

    :wave:ENJOY THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Maybe i will watch it too...the game will be shown here in Germany at 2 o´clock in the night...at 6 o´clock my alarm will ring,so i have to get up and head to work. I told my fellows, that this monday will be very hard for me. But they will help me,because it´s only once in a year. :)

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Superbowl Sunday

    Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Barbershop
    Razor: Gillette Slim on 6
    Blade: Israeli Red Personna (3)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip 22mm x 48mm
    Aftershave: Canoe

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I tried my Stirling Barbershop sample puck today. The Barbershop provided a great easy lather and a great smooth, close shave with the Slim and Israeli Red. I think Barbershop is a perfect match for Canoe AS!

    Go Bronco’s!!

    Parker Black Badger
    '62 Gillette Slim
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless
    CWR
    Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel
    Pinaud Clubman AS

It was a great shave today. The Col. Conk Lime Shave soap face lathered very nicely with the Parker black badger brush. It took two passes and some clean up on the neck with the Gillette Slim and the Gillette 7 O'Clock blade to make me smooth and clean. I finished off with a cold water rinse followed by Thayers Cucumber WH and Pinaud Clubman AS. It was a mighty fine shave.
