Just the same as always: careful shaving, no pressure etc. The oil makes your skin slippery. Still you might consider taking a few extra drops. Just take it slow and you'll be allright! :)

Thanks Lloyd! It's a replate I picked up on E-bay (paid a ton but wanted it.) The silver case and blade cases are original. It is just like a brand new razor and the shave I get is the closest and smoothest shave possible. Old King Gillette could have just stopped right there in his razor design and we could still be buying these at Wal-Mart today. lol

Great shave this morning with the Tech/Feather combo. The Feather blades are expensive but are exceptional in making a mild razor into an awesome stubble eliminator! With the feather blade the tech is not only mild shaving it is efficient as well. Three passes and you're squeaky clean! lol

It says 'Sharp Edge" on the package. Yep. Not enough for a BBS this time, but a nice shave none the less! :)

I have decided to start using blades I have not tried before. I have blades from a few various sample packs I want to start working through. First out is the Rapira blade I bought from Bestshave a few months ago.

The first pass with the Rapira was not promising on my two day beard. But it seldom is with a less then feather like blade.
The following passes improved the experience, and after a slight tugging experience I ended up with a decent DFS. A DFS with a few spots of razor burns, though. But a few applications with the L'Occitane Cade AS Balm took care of that and made me beautiful again :)

In the end I would put it on the same level as the Derby blade giving it 3 of 6 stars.

After a tip from Mr. ajdhn I put on some Speick Aftershave. And it was not bad, not bad at all. Smelled a little like a grandpa, but still not bad. But not what I am looking for; I'm afraid.
And that is a nice clean lotion that soothes and calms the skin, while also giving me a good wholesome sting.
It can have a pleasant smell to it, but without a perfume type smell and with a scent that dissipates after a while.
    Thanks :)

As much as the Wee Scot looks like an unconventional planter from a Barbie House....the little bugger does a great job with the lather! Definitely is my go to brush for deployments now, that should have no issues fitting in my soap container that carries my razor and blades.

Great shave after taking a few days off from shaving. I have to say that my Semogue doesn't seem great for face lathering, it really eats the lather. I love it in a bowl but not on the face. Also I was getting a bit of a tingling sensation with the sandalwood cream. It's a shame because I've never had a reaction with sandalwood before and I do like TSD wheat creams. Oh well I'm compiling a bunch of stuff to trade off and this can go in the pile.

    Thank you Good Sir :)

I will check out your suggestion. However since you describe it as a balm, I assume it has a creamy substance. I am looking for a lotion/liquid aftershave. Maybe it is also called a splash.

Great shave this morning. TOBS Avocado has excellent shaving properties but I'm not wild about the scent. I'm hard to please with scent and would say that I prefer a very light cologne or a spicy type scent. Have a good one.

One frigid thing after another this morning - this new Gatsby facial washing gel has a nice aqua/citrusy scent which doesn't linger and it is EXTREMELY cooling and refreshing. The Awakenings soap makes the Proraso Green feel warm, and the Diana Sport balsam/Rubby Dubby combination add a freeze which lasts all day! ;) :D

I see, I assumed you were wanting a creamy aftershave with a little bite, if you are looking for a splash, maybe try Imperial Barber's aftershave splash. It has a nice masculine scent, it is not supposed to contain alcohol and still seems to have a mild sting. I am like you a little, I think. I enjoy a slight burn, but I do not want a full on alcohol burn.
