When I opened the shower door, it felt like an Arctic wind was sweeping through FL! :smiley freezing:

I attempted to take a picture of my legs, they are very smooth and shiny ... but I am vertically challenged and I just couldn't get a good angle ... Oh well ... you'll just have to use your imagination! ;)

    Have a fantastic week!

    Monday Morning.

    Pre: Hot Shower
    Razor: Merkur 23c
    Blade: Gillette 7 O`Clock Yellow (3)
    Cream: Tabac
    Brush: Omega Boar
Post: Thayers WH, Cold Rinse, RSC ASB, Nivea Balm

This mornings shave was very underwhelming. I was expecting great things from Tabac Cream, but what I got was way under par for the course. Maybe I need to use lots more product, because of my hard water, but I did use just over 2 almonds worth of product already, which is about 50% more than I use with other products. Lather was thin and liquidy, and bubbly. Shave was one WTG, and one XTG. I couldn't bring myself to do a second XTG, or my regular ATG either. Doing so, and I'm afraid my neck would have looked like a fire truck. Overall, I got away with less irritation than I was expecting, but was quite disappointed for a Monday morning.

    Monday

    Dovo Bismarck 6/8
    Altesse badger brush
    Omega soap
    Aqua Velva Ice Sport

Sunday morning's shave was so close that stubble was still fairly light this morning. The Bismarck made quick work of what was there leaving me near BBS in three passes (I didn't realize my chin could have been closer until I was on my way in to work). The Ice Sport provided a fine finish to start my work week.

    Okay, monday

Prep: hot water splash, hot washing cloth
    Soap: TSD Signature
Brush: Wilkinson Sword badger / boar
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: new Merkur blade
3-pass shave + some touching up
Post: hot rinse / cold rinse

Since I've been retiling the bathroom floor this weekend, I didn't have a shave yesterday. The Wilkinson Sword Classic wasn't too quick in shaving a two day stubble. It is a very mild razor. But in the end I reachted a reasonable result. One side is better shaven than the other though: it's now evening here and one cheek is starting to show some stubble. Not so on the other side. BHut you can'thave it all, can you? :)

    Have a nice week y'all!

    Everett,

Don't worry. I too have problems getting the Tabac cream to lather with the same results you got, especially bowl lathering. So, I got the Tabac soap which is 1000% better than the cream. In fact, the soap is some of the best lathering stuff I've used. Now, when I use Tabac soap, I'll spread some of the cream on my face before face lathering just to use it up.

If you get a chance, try the Tabac soap (comes in a nice glass bowl as well). Otherwise, try face lathering the cream instead of a bowl.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've read about others having issues, but I was thinking, how bad can it be :p Now I know. I'll keep trying, see if I can get some better results.

    Thanks CyanideMetal

Me too, I never really liked the Tabac cream. It's ok I suppose, but the soap bowl or stick are a lot better in my opinion. :)

    alpla444 That's sweet!

I have the cream, only use it every so often, but get great lather when I do very happy with it, (kinda wanna try the soap now:signs002:) just so many other things I want to try just that my rotation is big enough as its, How you cope is beyond me Jeff too much choice for me.

    Monday's Shower and Shave

A long hot shower, to start the morning.

While showering Mr. Omega 48, was warming up to get the morning chill off.

Soap choice today was a cream Tet-A-Tet. Great choice to start Monday off to a great start.

Razor choice today a Gillette SS, loaded with a mystery. Day three for the mystery blade, still providing a great shave.

Facial rinse with polar cold water, pat dried the face. A liberal splash of Thayer's Witch Hazel, after drying a dab of Tet-A-Tet balm.

Monday results; judges :wave:rated this a 10+ DFS.

I do hope everyone's Monday blasted off great.
