    Easy BBS!

It's -11F outside, so I decided to go with bay rum today. I washed my face with Shea Moisture Three Butters Scrub in the shower, then lathered up with RazoRock Captain's Choice Croap. My HIS brush whipped up loads of lather from the RR, even though I think I put too much water in it. All that meant was more swirling in the mug. My Maggard MR10 sang its way easily through three passes to a very nice BBS. I finished with a cold water rinse and a double shot of Captain's Choice Bay Rum aftershave.
    Stay warm!

    Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Preshave Lotion
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine Glycerin
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (5,6)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB

I waited a little longer than usual today to get my shave in, to give myself a little more stubble to work with in light of the still-visible cut on my lip from yesterday. I had no such issues today, though I decided against pushing it with a 3rd pass ATG. Lather was thick and luxurious as ever, though I bowl-lathered today. DFS results overall, without any weepers, nicks, or irritation from a blade that's just starting to show some signs of dulling. The cold weather has my skin dry enough that it actually absorbed the balm pretty well, too.

Very nice shave this morning. I really enjoy this razor, it seems smaller than most (length wise) and I find it extremely comfortable to use. Have a good one.

Today was Christmas for me (Orthodox Christian), so decided to fish out Xmas present that I got from my Secret Santa - RazoRock R-160.

30 secs of loading with wet brush provided excellent lather, enough for 4 passes. Don't know if it is something in my method, but this soap seems to provide much more cushion than any other soap I've tried, great protection and glide with yummy, yummy almond smell, mmmm.
Derby was tugging, and while it shaves nice in Slim Adjustable, and not bad in Enn Werke OC, it tugs in my other mild razors, and won't use that combo in future.
    Finished with Lustray Bay Rum.

    • Shower + Avon face wash
    • Gillette Slim Twist
    • Derby (1st day)
    • Danidom boar brush
    • RazoRock R-160
    • Lustray Bay Rum + Avon Balm

    Today's shave

Prep: hot shower, L'Oréal Face Wash.
    Brush : Turkish #6 Brush.
    Razor : Gillette Aluminum Tech.
    Blade : Personna Lab.
    Cream: Gada Original.
    Soap: Cella.
Post : cold water rinse, Captain's Choice Bay Rum, Phyto Balm.

Today's shave burned like hell. It was my first time using Gada Original too. That cream lathers very well and smells good. However, something in it made my face feel like it was on fire. After the first pass, it was unbearable. I washed out the brush and re lathered with Cella. I stopped at two passes. The discomfort is still here even after my post shave routine. Sadly, Gada Original is not the cream for me.

Don't worry, one item out of 7 isn't bad at all. Don't feel bad, we had no idea of knowing until I used it.
