    Face Lathering
Last night I face lathered as a way of washing my face - I've read other guys doing it, so I decided to try. It felt great to lather my face last night - I mean my whole face, forehead and all. After rinsing my face felt great and moisturized.
This morning I decided to face lather for my shave, since my brush is too big for my mug, and bangs around the sides, plus I was in a bit of a rush. I am amazed at the results. I used less soap and it whipped up on my face without irritation - a surprise based on previous attempts. Perhaps the PPF lather is more protective. Anyway, I got a near BBS with ease and comfort. I will be face lathering for a while to really see if this method is for me.
Prep: Shea Moisture Three Butters Scrub
Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies Black Tea
    Brush: HIS Synthetic
    Razor: Maggard MR10
    Blade: Gillette 7OC yellow
    AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

OH MY GOD this shave was beyond words. The Speick soap works better than the cream IMO and provides great skincare and of course the wonderful scent. I got my Merkur 11C today in the mail so I HAD to use it for a head shave with a new Feather blade, I can honestly say I have never had so close of a shave on my dome Not a single weeper, no irritation just every stroke perfectly comfortable. Merkur was COMPLETELY STUPID for discontinuing this razor, I'm glad I found a few left in stock online and grabbed it the moment I noticed them. The Muhle synthetic I used to have wasn't too enjoyable, I think it was the brush size that I didn't like, this one made me giggle while I was mixing it up and painting it on. I'm going to try it later on with Williams to see if I can tame that picky sucker.

Hot shower with face washed in Matas face wash.
Gillette Super Adjustable '72 (3) coupled with Viking's Sword (1).
    Tabac soap.
    Vie-Long Butterscotch Edition horse brush.
    3 passes, growth adjusted.
    Alum.
Nivea for Men Sensitive after shave balm.

First time with the adjustable. Fun experience. So far not my best tool, but far easier for me to use than my Super Speed although head looks the same. This is definately a razor I'll keep using. I like the long handle and also the weight, it has a good weight-ratio. I didn't feel it was dangerous to my face, but that might change as I dial up.

Tabac is just killer stuff. The scent reminds me so much of my dear late Grandfather. Love it!

Great shave - what can I say? Even the outlet socket in the wall is happy :D

    Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap
    Soap: Proraso Blue Cream
Razor: 1950 40’s Style Super Speed
    Blade: Viking Sword (3)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip 22mmx48mm
    Aftershave: Speick

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle a bit for my beard)

I used the Proraso Blue for the first time today. It whipped up like a champ and produced a great slick lather with just enough menthol. The Super Speed and Viking Sword did their part and I had a great shave! I finished with Speick. This was the first time I have used it. Both the Speick AS and the Proraso Blue lived up to their reputations!

I am off to help folks with their Rx’s in Hondo, Texas today.

Salaam aleikum wa Rahmat Allah ila al barakatu! (Peace be upon you and the mercy and compassion of God!) This morning's shave was on an Egyptian note with the lovely Ingram Green cream which can even out-freeze 2 tubes of Proraso Green cream. Its lather and scent are sumptious and the skincare is second to none. The Diana Sport balm is almost as cold as the Rubby Dubby Doo and the Lord aftershave is also quite cooling with a damn nice scent. Once again, no time for pictures but this was a wonderful BBS shave with so little effort. ;) :D

    Saturn's Day:

Prep: Hot compress, Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Preshave Lotion
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Cream: Speick
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo Nickel
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (2)
    Passes: WTG (4)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Speick Aftershave Splash

Yesterday's BBS results were good enough that I quite reasonably could have skipped shaving today, but that would have meant skipping two of the past four days, which I didn't especially want to do. Further, it would have meant I missed another chance to help encourage Speick Saturdays to become a thing. The cream is really outstanding stuff, and the aftershave is so good as a healing agent that I almost felt guilty using it after a simple 1-pass, SAS day.

    Face lathering day two
The HIS deserves it reputation as a lather monster. It quickly and easily whipped the PPF into yogurt on my face. My MR10 loaded with a trusty 7 o'clock yellow did it's job with a nice audible smoothness. Result: almost BBS. I am liking face lathering so far, and I'm curious how my face will hold up- in the past face lathering was a near certain burn waiting to happen. I'm also liking the PPF, so I'm going to use it for a few more days and review it, then switch to another soap to see where the secret lies.

Prep: Shea Moisture Three Butters Scrub
Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies Black Tea
    Brush: HIS Synthetic
    Razor: Maggard MR10
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock yellow

From reading the forums and from my own experience it seems that one of of two or maybe one of three PAL adjustables when they have reached this number of years in existence are no longer shave worthy because the mechanism inside has broken or has too much corrosion and has lost the correct tension. Now the Personna injectors are excellent razors. PAL adjustables took the Personna razor and added the adjustment system to it. The Personna injector is like the beautiful lady that also has intelligence which is a great combination.
