    Slanted Shave # 19

Well, the Jagger is on it's way to a new home and the ex took a mild no name the other day, so what to do since I shaved late last nite and needed an early shave this am.

As I haven't yet decided on a new mild companion for Slanty, I decided a very easy wtg and atg where in order.

    EBC preshave
    Omega 80005
    MWF
    Gillette Platinum Black (4)
    Merkur 37 C Slant
    Witch Hazel
TSD Bourbon Vanilla-praying for a delivery from my Queen, the minions r needy
    Pinaud Lime Sec

Another nice shave, Slanty proved able to be gentle but my love for shave bling will probably bring in a Merkur 11 C as a companion.

In honor of my EJ, a farewell pic with Slanty:

    Dovo Prima
    Vie Long Horse/Badger
    Nanny's Rasage Traditionnel Soap
    Alum
    Old Spice Whitewater

A great shave, the soap was a belated Christmas present from my sister along with a cake of Sandalwood. She bought 2 cakes but only 1 tin, presumably expecting me to use up one before starting the other............
What a strange and alien concept, but a truly great present as Nanny's soaps are outstanding.

Its been a few days since my last post. Sorry I've been pretty busy.
Yesterdays shave was very nice using razorock xxx soap and trying an Astra blade. The Razorock xxx lathers very nice and is very slick and Astra blade preformed very well.
Todays shave was perfect. MWF and day 2 with the Astra. This blade does a fantastic job in the Feather AS-D1. And the MWF is just pure shaving nirvana. It has quickly turned into my goto/everyday soap. It lathers with no problem for me at all and provides just an amazing shave and my skin feels great!

    Friday 13 January

An early shave before heading to the airport

    Proraso White Soap
    Omeaga Boar 10015, face lather
Gillette Milord, w/ Lord Platinum (D2)
    Alcolado Glacial, and Proraso ASB

A simple three pass shave with great results, it was DFS. Maybe even DFS+. I figured the Proraso white soap would be great for a heavy travelling day. I have to fly to chicago, then drive to Indiana, set up equipment, then drive back to the airport to fly home on Saturday. Kind of weird, but I need the work, so its off I go. Next week is all travel, I will have to start thinking about what to take with me.

    Superior 70 Bay Rum

It's been almost 2 years since I used a cart razor.

To me they aren't worth the cost per cartridge, but the result is just as good as any of my daily drivers.

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/7 AM day 4

Diana Sport Menthol Balsam :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    JHL Cologne

With this freezing cold weather a guy like me is out of his mind to use so much menthol stuff, but I never said I was normal in the first place - the Palmolive Menthol cream felt so frigid and wonderful, and the Diana Sport balsam was a delight afterwards. This stuff can out-freeze Alcolado Glacial and Osage Rub combined. ;) :D

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: EJ Chatsworth
    Blade: Ladas Super Stainless
    Brush: Vie-Long Gonzalo Horse/Boar
Soap or Cream: Pre de Provence Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Pre de Provence Balm

Great shave--the Vie-Long horse/boar is excellent at whipping up lather. It's a bit scritchy, though, but I don't mind that; it's invigorating, actually.

Makes me wonder what kind of brush these folks preferred. Badger or boar?
The razor isn't in rotation anymore hehe
