    • Osage Rub ~ :freezing :freezing :freezing
    • TSD A/S Splash ~ Iced SubZero Scent ~ :freezing :freezing :freezing

After a couple of setbacks, I ended up with a very nice smooth shave today!

Swapping out the lightweight Lord handle for a Parker heavyweight handle didn't affect the shave quality any, just made the razor feel different, and slightly easier to hold.

Loving the Lea Menthol cream! :D

I always hold out for some improvement somewhere but I couldn't find any anywhere. It all hooked up and I was smiling all day up until about 3. 'Twas excellence.

Very nice. Glade the EJ 89 and the black ninja are treating you well.

Did you have a chance to try the Russian Greens yet?

Nope. Those are going to be next in the EJ after I finish up a little bit of testing on a different razor and kill the ninja. Then I'm gonna go with the Russian green. So many options and combos, I'm struggling to keep all the balls in the air. I will get to them though!

This was my first use of the Martin De Candre soap. Produced a great lather but I am not a fan of the scent. This one may be up for sale soon.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur 23C
    Blade: Treet DuraSharp
    Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L
Soap: Proraso Green Tea with Aloe
    A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, 4711 Splash

A fine, refreshing shave this morning. I really like the DuraSharp blades even if they occasionally show a bit of rust (I don't take any special measures to prevent it). I do have soft water which, I think, helps. I change the blade after 5 shaves (all very close and smooth), and they have never caused any staining to a razor that couldn't be quickly cured by a shot of Scrubbing Bubbles.

    Keri unscented moisturizer
Osage Rub AS :love008 :love008 :anifrozen :anifrozen
    JHL Cologne

Once again we're expecting temperatures close to 90 degrees here in town, so menthol is a necessity to keep cool and comfortable. The Viking Sensitive cream from Russia and the Osage Rub are great at freezing the skin. ;) :D

    • Prep: Noxzema Original Deep Cleansing Cream, Cold Water Rinse
    • Cream: C.O. Bigelow
    • Brush: Frank Shaving Fine Badger
    • Razor: Merkur 33C
    • Blade: Wilkinson Sword (2), 3+ passes
    • Post: Cold Water Rinse, Wally World Witch Hazel + Alum spray, Hand strop blade, Hot Shower ending with cold

Tried my first cold water shave today along with face lathering with the FS Finest. All around an excellent shave. I really enjoyed face lathering with this brush. The VDH boar was just too uncomfortable while the FS Finest was flat out enjoyable. Noticed a closer shave using cold water and less irritation on my neck. I think my face will take some time getting used to the cold water so I'm looking forward to the shaves only getting better.

Shave Rating: :happy088 :happy088 I enjoyed the cold water much more than I thought I would. Maybe it's because we had our hottest day of the year yesterday and I was still hot. Come winter I'll really find out if I enjoy cold more than hot.

Razor: Gillette "Psycho" Inmate # 251
    Blade: Treet Durasharp
    Brush: H.L. Thater Stout 1
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Cream: Malaspina Triple Delight Chilled Lime
    A/S: Trumper Extract of Limes

Lindy sent me a few samples of her Triple Delight shaving cream a while ago and I finally got around to trying it. This is an excellent cream with a nice fresh scent that provided plenty of cushion and glide. The Gillette Psycho is a bit mild for my taste (it is essentially a Tech) but I was able to achieve a SAS- socially acceptable shave.

Love my Progress! Team with a sharp blade (even though Astra is not my favorite) it gives me a wonderful smooth shave.

About a +4 shave. Opening the stuff I orderd while in New Orleans for the last couple of months. The Irisch Moos stick is great. The new Merkur travel razor is just like my other Merkurs but with a 2 piece handle and the Moos AS is interesting. Can't decide if i like it or not yet.:D
