Pretty marginal shave. Gave myself a slice on the cheek and did not let my neck irritation heal so now it is worse. Out of the four blades I have tried in this razor, the Feather is the only one that seems worth while. 2.5/5

    Omega Wooden Handle

    Nord-ost SC :love008 :love008 :love008 :freezing
    Nord-ost AS Balsam :love008 :love008 :freezing :freezing
Bulgari Blu Notte Pour Homme EDT

It's been a while since I used my Nord-ost stuff, so today I went with it, and I enjoyed the shave very, very much. The cream has a little less menthol in it than the aftershave balsam, but it's still cooling enough to be noticed and enjoyed. ;) :D

    Thursday (Wednesday night)

I shaved last night before bed for today.

    1907 GEM Jr. Lather Catcher
    GEM PTFE Blade
    SOC Brush
    QED Wild Rose
DR Harris Marlborough AS (just for kicks)

I was looking for a soap and I found my QED in the back of my shelf. How I forot about it, I don't know. Since I usually only use this soap for special occasions, I decided to use a special razor. So I took out my GEM.

I was curious as to how the DR Harris and soap scents would go together, and I just want to say it was mighty fine! The strong floral from the soap mixed with the many scents in the aftershave creates a heavenly mix!::angelic004

    Tabac stick
    Nivea Sensitive balm
    Alcolado Glacial
    Polo Sport edt

Wow!! I had my first ever great shave with Tabac. I have tried this stuff off and on for over a year to get good lather and today was absolutely a lush expierience. I guess milling it was the answer for me to get to know it properly. A couple more lathers like this and it'll become a favorite.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur Progress XL
    Blade: Lord Platinum Class
    Brush: Vie-Long Gonzalo Boar/Horsehair
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Pashana Bay Rum Splash

An exceedingly fine shave this morning, using my Gonzalo brush for the first time. The brush performed well beyond its price point, whipping up a great lather with relative ease. I had more than enough lather for a 3 pass + touchup. The "wet animal" smell often found on new brushes wasn't there, but there was a somewhat industrial smell, probably from a sterilizing/deodorant wash of some kind--not really noticeable once the brush is filled with lather, and it will go away with further use. I generally don't think of bay rum in the summer, but something made me go for it this morning--a very refreshing finish to a great shave.

Good to know, I have yet to try mine with a Feather-that's next. The Iridium was fantastic if you have any of those. I'll also try a KAI which is very similar to the Feather.

Prep: hot shower, some conditioner applied to my beard area
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Gillette Platinum
Shaving cream: Nivea Mild with, squirt of glycerin
    Aftershave: Alverde aftershave balm

Well, I think I got the most out of this plastic razor. 4 passes (WTG, 2x XTG) and touch-up pass. Lather was amazingly soft and puffy. The cheeks feel BBS, the neck area has some very short stuble left. Managed to get a nick on the neck as well.

    3/5

Lloyd I don't remember if I said this before or not, but that mug with your dad's picture is just plain cool! Looks like he was a helluva stylish man, and from the pics I've seen of you, I can definitely see the resemblance.

Enjoy it for many, many shaves my friend! :happy088 :happy088
