  1. Hi Phil,

Your brush looks like the first one I ever used.........still have the thing somewhere. I shaved with that for months, and it was a good experience.

Believe it or not, I bought mine at Target. Yep, a looong time ago they used to have a nice little selection of Proraso(Omega) products for sale. They stocked a couple different types of creams and soaps, plus those boar brushes.

That was pretty darned handy at the time.

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
    fatboy/Feather
    TSD Coconut SS
    Lucky Tiger AS
    Storer 'Monk' EdT

Nice change of pace using this soap again. Performance is VERY good, and it's one of the best coconut scents I've sniffed in a cream or soap. I was glad to have this available for today's shave.

    BBS results,

    Hot Shower/Hot Towel
    1953 Gillette 40's Style SS
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (Shave #1)
    Kent/Altesse Pure Badger
    Park Avenue Classic Lather SC
    Pinaud Clubman A/S
    TSD AS Milk
    Preferred Stock

Today's shave went pretty rough. End results were fine but the road to get there was a bumpy one. I don't think the 7 O'Clock Yellows work for me, which is a surprise because most everyone else raves about them. I've been searching for a replacement for my beloved Swedes which, to me, have the perfect balance of sharpness and smoothness. I fear that the 7 O's have the sharpness but not the smoothness. Oh well. Iridiums and BICs have been good to me so at least I've still got those. The Park Avenue made a terrific lather and the scent was quite interesting. It reminded me a lot of a Christmas tree smell. This cream might become a holiday favorite of mine. Enjoy the weekend!

If I shaved like that guy up there, I'd be burning and red all over! He keeps going over the same areas, especially ones that are really sensitive for me (the neck)

That guy Mark shaves exactly like me, except I do a 2nd ATG pass. However, during the work week, I shave as fast as him.

    I loved this guy's videos.

Posted them on SMF ages ago, where the morons didn't appreciate them.

He's simple and down-to-earth, and his singing whie shaving video is hilarious ;)

"YOUUUU MAYYYY NOT HAVEEEE A CARRRRR AT ALLLL!!!!!!!" - The song is excellent but listen to lyrics and you'll see how devoid it is of meaning!

    REALLY?

That's a shame to hear. His videos were among the first I saw when I got into traditional wetshaving.

And I recall seeing other videos of his: very cerebral guy.
